Forward collision warning and emergency brake assist is off when you see this. Actually in your case I think it's indicating a malfunction. If the word Off is also displayed above it, then it was deliberately turned off, but without that I'm pretty sure it means malfunction.
Yep, here's what I see if I turn off ESP in my car, which then also turns off the forward collision system. Notice that it says Off in addition to the symbol you are seeing.

Yeah no "X" or word off. I wonder if it's a dirty sensor. We had crazy snow around here for the last week. I will check that first.
