2021 GLS 450 & 23 GLS 450. Have a Holden Commodore, Jeep, truck, and more
That might be able to be buffed out. I would try that first

i did the same exact thing at the same spot, scratched so deep it couldn't be buffed out. I haven't bothered to fix it, but I maybe try the Mercedes touch up kit.

GLS 450 (2022), EQE SUV 350 (2025). GLS 450 (2007)
I backed up into a tractor a while back with my GLS 450 and damaged the rear bumper panel. Original estimate to repair was $2500. When it was all done it was over $6500. Why? There's a lot of stuff behind those panels - parking detectors, radar units, etc. Plus MB has a spec on repainting panels through which radar signals must pass so sometimes a new panel is the only choice. But I guess I get what I deserve when I'm not paying attention when reversing...

To me, that looks 100% buffable and is paint from the pole.

Spent an hour scrubbing it this morning (soap and water) got all the yellow off - just a few deeper scratches left ....
More mad at myself for being an idiot - there were 5 other easier spots I could have taken in the garage !!!!

Stuff happens to everyone. Don't beat yourself up too much. Glad you got the yellow paint off and your park distance sensor looks intact. Sounds like it is barely noticeable now.

Great job! I'd just leave it like this instead of spraying it. Looking 9/10. Good enough for a family SUV : )
