Getting a GLS 450 next week. A Ireland green one arrives on the 21st. At first look, I really like it! Just wondering if I'm thinking clearly. I used to have an old MG in British Racing Green when I was a kid, so I think that's why my first reaction was positive. I haven't seen this in person, but know there aren't a lot of them out there.

Green can be tricky. My Bronco is green, but agonized for weeks on picking the color when ordering it. I have 0% regrets, two years later. But it’s a darker green than the MB. When we were picking the GLS, MB had a forest green, and we agonized between that and the midnight blue. We went blue, no regrets, but have seen one in that green not too long ago and it looked great too.
check the color under different lighting. Sun light, cloudy, night time. Green changes with the light moreso than many other colors.
if you get green, be prepared to talk about it and attention. They stand out!
as long as it’s not a pea green or a 1970’s **** green, then go for it!
Believe the first one is the same green they were offering on the 2020 GLS as well. We really struggled between it and the midnight blue. The color changes with the lighting and the angle. Salesman could get the blue one immediately from a dealer a state away. The green was too difficult to locate on the east coast and didn't like it enough to pay & wait for one to be shipped to us. Nearest was Chicago. But they do look great, but also given the size of the GLS, it is "a lot green". A dark green with the beige or saddle brown interior, I think is a timeless classic!
Yep, emerald green. They discontinued it on the GLS! Also discontinued the dark blue, the blue they have now is the lighter twilight blue which is also nice.
I've seen that new blue, it's almost like a denim blue. It does look nice. You really do have to see these colors in person too. Way too difficult to judge via internet pictures. Kudos to Mercedes for offering cars with some color!!
Everything is grey these days. That's my joke earlier about this current version of green actually being "Fescue Grey". Ford is perhaps the worst now on color. Someone should tell the head of their paint department that the war is over. They stopped making the green and dark blue as well. Now it's like "Drill Sergeant Brown", "Desert Camo Beige", and "Pedo Scout Leader Blah".. My favorite are these "Alpine White" colors. I'm like, that's not white-anything. That's straight-up "Bondo Primer Grey"....
Yeah it’s good to see them offering some colors. Mine is grey grey lol, the colors in the S Classes are hard to find because all of them on lots are white, black, silver or grey. I kind of miss the white because at least it was bright and stood out.
