Fire. Radio guy clearly didn’t want to say what type of car was on fire, but kept saying they can’t get it to go out, kept reigniting, so basically everyone knew it was an EV. Haven’t a clue where the doors went. But my question - what in the heck are the tires made of to have survived a fire so hot that it stripped off all of the paint too!
when I passed by and took this picture, the stench was brutal…
lots of people missed their flight out of Dulles yesterday!
Loved my Teslas, berry berry good to me. In 10 years only had to adjust the retractable door handle in one vehicle. They came to me and were done in 20 minutes. Fun car to drive, fastest also.

I also had a Tesla S around the 2022/2023 timeframe when literally the modern sedan car market experienced the most boring and worst new sedans ever in that time-frame. It was great to just fill in that 1-year gap as I look and wait for what's next. I feel the same way nowadays about SUVs. It was great to at least live with a high-tech EV and experience first hand what it means to drive a drivetrain like that, own it, and the simplicity associated with it. Although it is not close to the top 1-3 cars I ever had, it was one of the best rewarding experiences I had. You think we appreciate what these techs are about and know it enough, until we live with it.
I once complained about the steering wheel buttons not feeling "click-y" enough. They came to my house garage in 2-days and installed a new steering wheel!

Yeah... they killed the S and X. Tesla is all about making more profit, and in terms of economics, using their production lines to push more Y and 3 to the market made more sense. They are selling Ys like crazy. It's sad to see the S and X go.

Tesla is putting their production facilities into Optimus Robotics. The S and X models will exit as Plaid Signature Editions.
The part of Tesla by far was buying a lot of stock back in 2014 after I bought my first Model S. I remember turning in my 2012 S class lease that I was paying $999 per month. I went to get the new 2014 and it was $1700 per month. My friend told me to check out the Tesla but bring my checkbook. I drove it and bought it. It was a Loaner, had 3200 miles on it. They took off a dollar for every mile plus $1000 for every month in service, 11. Sticker was 79000 ish I got it for around 64K plus tax. Best car purchase ever for me. Traded it in for an '18 and they gave me 52K as a trade. Good times.

Awesome. Sounds like you knew when to buy and when to sell, or at least were able to also sell it when prices increased. Tesla always had ups and downs in prices. That's exactly what I do sometimes, including with the Model S I had... I got it when when it was selling close to the lowest price point, and sold when prices went slightly up. This is the power of truly owning your own money, not locked my lease and interest, and be able to switch plans, move out of a car when time is right, and more importantly grab the right next car at the right car when it's out there.
I'm not a fan of Tesla but when I tried the FSD just a month ago on a friend's Cyber Truck, it was pretty amazing. The best driver's assist in the US by far. It drove from a restaurant parking lot right into my driveway without having to touch anything. Other than that, the CT was terrible to look at and terrible to drive.
