This CD Changer was removed from a 2007 C230. For 2005-2007 C Class models including: C230, C280, C350, & C55AMG

*This changer only works with vehicles using the MOST bus...found in 2005-2007 C-Class and some other models.

This CD Changer will play MP3 CD's, even if your in dash CD player doesn't.

meaning looks the same as one that would fit an earlier model? i couldn't confirm this for sure, but i do know however that this one came out of an '07 c-class (my gf's - now she's got an e-class) and it came out of the glove box, nearly new. the wiring came out i believe from the left or right side of the glove compartment and clipped right into the changer (about 10 second install, if that).

i would check with an mbz dealer to inquire if this changer, Part # A 203 870 33 89 will fit into your model year.

oh, 1 more thing, this comes with 2 cd cartridges!

Guys you should get this, it will plug into to any W203 C class. It is the same CD changer except that because it was made after late 2005, it will play MP3's. The changers made earlier than 2005 will not play MP3's. I upgraded my 2005 C55, with a 2006 CD changer, install took about 10 minutes and it works just fine.

Hey there Tump43, thank you very much for clarifying compatibility for my player. Since I didn't own the C-Class this came off of (came off my gf's car), and my limited knowledge of the C-Class, I didn't know if it would work in pre-05 models. I myself drive a W210, E-Class.

This is completely wrong. The head unit and fiber optic bus is completely different in the 2005+ C class. Most importantly the optics were changed from D2B to MOST. The plugs won't even fit. And if you could make them fit, it still would not work because they are communicating differently.

This unit will fit any 2005 - 2007 C class.

That's what I meant to say, acr2001 is correct, fiment is for 2005 and up, besides the OP stated his changer only fit 2005-2007 cars. The confusion was that there was a short period in early 2005, when Benz supplied model year 2005 MOST equipped C classes with a CD changer that could not play MP3's. That, unfortunately, is what happened to me with my 2005 C55 and why I changed from a 2005 model year MOST cd changer (made in 2004) to a 2006 model year cd changer (made in 2005).

Ah that makes more sense then. I think those vehicles are referred to as 2004.5. I got a 2005 - 2007 COMAND unit made in 2004, and althought it is otherwise identical, it will not play MP3 CDs
