02 C32 vs ?? Grand Am (not really a kill, more like a super kill)

i'm not proud of it, but i feel like i should still share this.

place: 60 fwy east bound after 15fwy junction.
traffic: mild
time:10:30pm ish
date: 6/13/02

as i was minding my own business and listening to some japanese pop songs a guy in a red Grand Am came up behind me very close and fast and pull into the next lane. as he was in the next lane, i accelerate a little bit and he just punched it. it took me by surprice. his front wheel was already along side my mirror when i floored it, but he never pass the front of my car as i dropped it into 3rd (by depressing the bottom under the gas pedal) and took it up to 120 as he became a dot in my mirror.

i let off as i came up behind some slower traffic. after 10-15 seconds or so he is back on my tail. this time he was really close on my tail about less than 1/2 car length. i guess he was pissed. now i'm pissed too because he was way too close up on my rear. (after being rear ended once in my previous car, i'm naturally pissed off when there are ppl tailing on my ***)

i punched it as i see the opening in the next lane with a mile or two open section for me to roar. this time i got up to 130mph and never saw the Grand Am again in my mirror. as i was accelerating to 130mph there was a VW Golf GTI that is fully modded and i just blew past him that the GTI didn't even have a chance. i let off about a miniute later and slow down to about 80 mph. i was thinking that the GIT or the Grand Am would catch up with me, but no, there was virtually no carv behind me except a pickup that just got on to the freeway.

moral of the story is that picking a fight with the skinny kid is no way to stack up the number of kills....but heck i'll send them to my slaughter house anyway if they are rude.

anything that gets on my tail "too" close pisses me off...therefore ***-whopping is needed to make them understand they are not the fastest ppl on the road.

those who tail gate ppl infront of them usually think they are fastest on the road, regardless what they drive.

Hey Fairlady,

I was running my C32 on the freeway and a 300ZX, full race, and I mean full, (lets just say I have never seen a meaner, more serious looking 300) was nearby. He even had a 1 foot wide racing team banner across the front. Dropped, pipes (of course). Roll bar... the works,. I assume TwinT and all streetable race mods.

So question is what do you suppose the outcome to be? I think it would be close (very close) from what little time we spent together. We only ran from 60-120 a couple of times. I don't believe I could actually dust him nor the opposite.

rrf, a STOCK Twinturbo Z will get smoked by a C32. However, a stage 3 TTZ(intake, exaust and ECU- 400HP) will give a C32 better run. A stage 3 Z usually run anywhere between mid 13's to low 13's(they are really ***** to launch ). It should be really close race if that Z is at stage 3.
Hope this helps.

IMO, he did the right thing, If a Grand Am or a Geo Metro pulls next to me trying to race or tickle me, I'll let them have it any day, so they learn not to have a little more sense and not mess with AMG.

FrankW, congratulations for the fine slaughter!

LMFAO, I was just messing with FrankW(notice the "WINK"??) I agree though, that people who tailgate really bug me.

haha, funny but I'm not kidding, besides it is always nice to kill cars that don't stand a chance

I can't let a guy on an inferior car (example a Geo Metro) think or assume I was afraid to take a challenge, besides its just going to take a 3 second flooring to make my point, not much gas, not much damage to the car.
