E55 vs C5 Convertible

Totally smoked a C5 Convertible tonight on the way home from work, but I suppose that's not that exciting really. I came up behind him on a secondary road and when we hit a stop sign he turned left toward the freeway and floored it, so I just followed. After about 5 seconds he slowed up and was amazed I was still right on his tail. His passenger swung around really quickly to look at what was behind him - I guess they couldn't believe it. We had to trail a truck for a mile or so to the freeway and then as we went onto the s-shaped on-ramp, he took it really slowly and then when we hit the freeway, he totally hit it. I floored it and pulled two lanes out into the freeway and just walked right past him - I looked down and next thing I saw was 110 on the speedo :v I buttoned off and he came up behind me as I was crusing at about 90 like he was going to challenge again, and then suddenly he just fell back to about 200 yards! I guess he saw the AMG badge

It was probably an auto by the way I walked past it I guess. A little lame, but fun all the same!

Convertible = 2.73:1 gears

May be wrong but I think the convertible C5 had 2.73:1 gearing.

Maybe it has something to do with the 11.20s and 10.80s that his cars run. I think we should only race the 1/8th and, to make things fair, he has to put two of those little temporary spare tires on the rears of his car.

I think you hit the nail on the head!

There is no fairness in racing. If you accept a losing proposition, odds are, you are toast.

Guys, I propose you settle this dispute like men...like the warriors of old.

I propose a classic battle in the vein of Boogaloo Shrimp and Shabadoo, as they did it Breakin' Two. Two men with a cardboard box and a radio. At cost of a few hairs on the top of the head, and saving the fuel for more important things, like Hummer H2 burning.

"Little C-Class"???? C-Class is actually 178.8 inches long. SL class is 178.5 inches long. So, even if it is "little," it's bigger than yours!!!!

Well... either way! :p Take same amount of horsies he has in his Vette into you're "bigger but little(r)" C-class, and ask the same question!
