C43 vs. Cadillac STS (4?)

98 Black C43 , 12’ ML 350 Blutec
C43 vs. Cadillac STS (4?)
Date: 6/25/05 time: 2:30pm Location : South Jersey - Willingboro/Delran area.
I am cruising down Rt.130 in the left lane ( 3 lane highway ) when I look in my passenger mirror and see a Cadillac ( could tell by the waffle-style grill ) coming up in the center lane with its parking lights on.The driver catches up to me and pulls along side me and punches the gas - he gets about a car length in front of me and I see his personalized plates (nj) "KRAUSE1" and I check the badging on the right side "STS" with the number "4" underneath it.I wanted to make sure that I wasn't gonna pick a fight with their "V" class because I am not sure if I can handle them.Anyway , we roll up to the upcoming redlight. I look over at him to see if he wants to go - I am not sure at this point what his intentions were when he punched the gas next to me-he just stares straight ahead.The light turns green - he nails it - alot of noise coming from under the hood of the Caddy.I didn't expect this - so I really lay my foot in it - my car responds like an angry beast that just got slapped in the *** - his 1/2 car lead for the 1st 100 ft is gone and my C43 is pulling like a raped ape - I pull about 2 car lengths in front of him and begin to slow down for the upcoming next redlight - the light ahead turns green and he catches up to me and looks over and nods his head and gives me a
and takes the jughandle.I realize its nothing impressive but I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I saw the badging on the back of his car - I wasn't sure what the little "4" under the "STS" was for.

I have never heard of a Caddy STS-4
The STS-4 was actually a space shuttle.

Maybe he got some crazy idea in his head that his car was super fast and decided to name it after the shuttle. i have no idea...

I think the "4" refers to the four car lengths by which the STS usually trails behind....
