ML55 vs Mini Cooper S, lol

Ok before you all start talking trash its was about 12:30 after heading home from an early night out. One of the people I was with was getting sick and not from alcahol, just not feeling well.

Well this Mini cooper cuts me off from out of no where on this straight away and then slowed down as to wait for me for a couple sec. With my license in its current sorry state I shrugged it off, and the Mini began to pull away, well then the jokes started from the people in my car, so I said screw it and took chase. well now for those of you in the boston area that know cambridge descent I was heading in to a VERY windey road by Mt. Auburn hospital going in to freshpond. This is where the Mini should excel... well he was about 2-2.5 car lengths on me enteringing and must of been quite suprise that an SUV took chase throught the winding road. Well its a 4 lain road that is basicaly a slalom and if 4 cars were all right next to each other I doubt they would all fit. Going in to the first turn I was about 1.5 car lengths back, coming out I was about a half. Going in to the 2nd we were about even and coming out I hammered it going in to about a 100ft straight and left him behind and then I slowed down going in to a turn as I had been pulled over there about 4 times before and had just gone through an intersection at about 55 when speed limit was about 30. At the end of the turn its prolly a tenth of a mile of straigh shot, where if I kept on it would of really destroyed him...

I guess those 9.5" wide tires are good for some handling and not just looks, lol

you're friggin' hilarious.... Love your stories... I grew up driving the first generation mini cooper s and back when the "muscle" cars weren't so good the mini was a really decent competitor in the twisties...

Sound like you had some fun
Do not underestimate the capabilit of the Mini Cooper S.

In straight line you will run away from it after 60 mph, or maybe before depending on the model year , but in the twisties it will eat you alive.

The fact that you closed on him is 99% driver related, either skill or crazyness

I am pretty sure you did not give it all you had did you, probably the same thing with the Cooper driver. Only idiots go 100% around curves in public traffic.

Personally I really like the Cooper S, especially the "Cooper S Works", a special edition with 210 Hp.....

no I didnt put in 100% but I dont think many drivers when seeing a vehicle twice there size coming up in the rear view mirror would have the gut check to speed up... I also dont think that there are but a handful of drivers that would be able to drive a mini cooper S like it could be.

It certainly was driver vs driver there... I am a lot crazier then most drivers and have scared other conteders off before(this is not meant to be taken as one of those comments that people mistake for I am the best driver, cuz its not, I am a driver who has a descent control and knowledge of my cars abilities and real life ability)

MJ your M3 is next buddy, I am gonna roll right over your car

Cool, I smile when I see the look of surprise when a 5000lb SUV comes up from behind a car and blows by them. I have no real kills (no one takes me seriously driving an SUV), but we can smoke the average and some above average cars, take them as they come!!!
