Messed with this guy to pi$$ him off to see if he would engage. Sure enough, we line up.

Not gonna lie...if I didn't have the mods, this would have been close.

He pulled me off the line (AWD), but the Beast pulled hard and just slowly pulled away....and I mean sllloooowwww.

Another red light my heart is pounding. He has the thing reving HARD now...I am power braking as well. Both launch at same time and he pulls bout half a length, but that mountain of torque will not be denied. Slowly walked again.

Next red light he was really cool. Both of us at the same time, "what the ***** you got in that thing"

He has some racing company hand painted on the side so he had mods....told him the same, some minor mods to blower and ecu.

He tells me that was his first time getting killed and he was glad it was to an awesome car like an AMG. I told him it was almost my first time getting killed and I was actually nervous.

Both give thumbs up and drive off.

Nice kill , I posted a few months back about racing one of those buzzing bee's.They may be tough off the line but if you encounter one on the highway have no fear and break out your spankin' paddle cause that whuppin' is gonna be a good one.

Still depends on the modds of the EVO or STi! But a nicely modded E55 S/C will sure be a force to be reckoned with.

Good kill on a modded WRX STI. I bet if you did it on a roll at 20mph or above, you would even kill him more.

Nah, (no Nitrous) those little ricers ate their breakfast.

Car and Driver and Autoweek both have them at 4.6 0-60.

The whole thing with those cars, if you ever take one on....is that they will pull you out of the hole. AWD and low gearing in first is no match for us. Fortunately, 1st gear can't last forever and with every shift he was losing to me. Get a good launch on them and hang in there if you have the HP and Torque.....the Benz should start to pull after a few hundred feet.

Torque won the battle in the end. (Sigh) as we sadly say goodbye to it with the new N/A's coming in. Hope they mess with gearing at least to help us out.

My little brother has a sti that he went retardo on with the mods. That thing is super crazy fast!...from the line and from a roll.

I’ve been wanting to run it vs. an e55 but they are very scarce around my area. Plus he still has about a month maybe a little more left in the marines before he can come home. I figured I would have to wait till i get one to find out. Anyway, I have no plans to head that way nor do i want to do it just for a few runs but maybe some time we would have an opportunity to run these two.

Don't mess with those AWD cars when it's slightly wet out either. Like what was stated in a previous post, up top and on the roll is a different story. I've never lost to Scooy or Evo on the top end.

Wow, thanks for the reply . I think you are misunderstanding my post. Even though this was not directed towards you, let me see if I can clarify myself to help you out.

I've wanted to run an e55 vs. my brother’s sti, e55 moded or not doesn't matter to me. Since this kill story post, I would also now like to see what my brothers sti would do vs his moded e55 or one similar to compare how other sti's are running vs. my brothers new set up. As far as who and what he being my brother wants to run against, moded or not...he wants and will race anyone that even looks at him or gives him any kind of attention at all.

My mechanic raced my C43/55 vs an STi from his shop and the STi got slaughtered 1/4 mile and hwy run.The Sti had intercooler,upgraded turbo,ECU.My car custom tuned by Superchips,Green filters. Now that E55 took a real beating there.PS a N/A E55 cannot beat my Talon TSI upstairs or downstairs,NEITHER CAN MY c55. Talon has 413awhp and alot of mods! Sti modded right is quite capable of giving a S/C E55 hell.

I would definitely go with the modded E55 over a modded STI.

For straight line running and luxury of course.For an all around track car the E55,I think not! Both are good at what they do best!

Oh, for sure! My next benz will be an e55. But i cant talk bad about the sti...they are awsome for why most people buy them, just not my taste. I personally would much rather have the mb luxery over subaru.

that video was me... The guy in STI had some upgrade, From a start he knows how to launch his car, Before that race we we driving around and he had no chance from a roll ofcourse, Also dont forget that he had to just drop the clutch and i was on brake and had to press GAS so he was a lil faster on reaction... anyway i loved his car, he aslo has a video when he started racing G35 and i pass them both at 220 kmh... . but he never posted it :*(

Anyway i miss my E55! But soon gonna get another sports car !
