Excusses to drive a SRT-4 Neon:

1. There are actual metal components so a metal detector will go off.
2. It is quicker than a 1996 C36.
3. Immunity to having a ricer status despite the obnoxious body kit (if it is factory, it can't be ricey "logic").
4. It is a "real" performance car. (I guess that makes the C32/C55 a supercar! )
5. You don't drive an overpriced "Nazimobile"... you just drive an over priced Neon.
6. Immunity to denial of having an inferior car.
7. Spelling Bee King.
8. Lack of common sense. (Who needs it if I am chasing someone after a "race"? Hint: You shouldn't have chased him, even if he was being a "fruitcake.")
9. Somehow explain that endangerment to surroundings is infact NOT reckless because noone got hurt. (It's not illegal if you don't get caught... )
10.Seeing real pastries drive cars despite being immobile.

I really don't understand why we don't flock to the Dodge dealers and demand a SRT-4 right away! I wish I was able to see a cake drive a car... Maybe if I wish it, nay, announce it, I will see a unicorn too!

Before you badmouth a C-class why dont you go play with a C55 or a C32. instead of a 10 year old C36. If you did you would not be here. I do not think any 10 year old neons are still on the roads today or ready to race any thing. So why are you trying to compare a 10 year old car to yours?

Did not want to confuse the guy. Just gave him options around the same year as his 03 SRT-4 (a.k.a. Dodge NEON)

1998 C43(gone, will be missed), Current car = CES Stage 2 Turbo M3
first off I have to say I love srt-4s was gunna buy one but except for the engine its a piece of garbage. Secondly you are braggin about beating a car that is 10 years older than yours and in all honesty probably the slowest of the AMGs and I would still take one anyday over the SRT-4. Lastly dont think you will walk all over all the w202s if you are stock because you run into a c43 on the highway and you will have a race on your hands.

I wouldn't mind having an SRT-4 as a track car. I saw a couple of them at Carlsbad with heavy mods (for roughly $4K you can get them into the mid-11 second range). If you have to go cheap and want bang, you either buy a Stang or an SRT-4. In either case, the price of fast is lack of comforts, but if you are young, dumb, and full of you-know-what, you don't worry about trivial things like power gadgets and a comfortable ride.

Agreed. No matter how well you dress it at the end of the day you still have a Dodge Neon!

You stand NO CHANCE against either of those models - you better worry about taking on a C43 before you climb the ladder.

Stock for stock, the SRT-4 will be walked by a C32, much less the C55. If I were you I'd stick to C36's. And I'm still waiting to know what I missed about Dodge.

Stock for stock the SRT-4 and C43 have close enough numbers to deem it a driver's race. Since the SRT-4 is FWD and have rather skinny 205 width tires, I imagine launching can be difficult. If I were a betting man I'd go with the C43 between the two. The key here is stock for stock.

Look dude , you've been here what 48 hrs. and you've brought jack-sh*t to the table. If you think that POS dodge product can make out here to the east coast -then bring it.While you at it steal some milk crates from your local quickie mart so you don't get a bunch of tickets for littering the country side with car parts on your way out here.Don't forget your wallet either - NO I DON'T TAKE VISA,MASTERCARD OR DISCOVER.

I vote nay on that.
Either way you have a great cheap fast car, however just like my friend who 'burned' a 10 year old Audi S4 in his G35 coupe, the cars arent competitors, they cant be. The cheapest computer today is infinitely faster than the most expensive fastest one 10 years ago.
Your race is invalid because:
A) It was on public streets.
B) Your cars are not competitors in any way.
your competition comes from the STIs, Evos, etc... all fast cars and relatively inexpensive if you consider performance as your only criteria. If you consider the ride, safety, class, and MATURITY of the cars you cannot claim your car to be better, it may be better in only the Speed vs. Price. And I say speed because your car cannot outhandle any AMG car and I doubt it can outhandle a plain sport suspension W203.
You cannot say your car is better than a C32 or C55 because you get similar performance for a 5th of the price because there are clearly things that your car lacks where the AMGs dont.
Guys you cant get all immature goin your driving a cheap Dodge thats not fair and snotty of you, everyone drives what they can afford and wish to drive. If I wanted a fast car that cost around 20k and didnt care about anything else Id be driving a Dodge too. We have benzs because we can and want to, going about this in a you drive a cheapo Neon way is not fair and childish.

Look fruitcake I bet I have more miles per year than you do and I smoke people all the time. If you actually represented something by driving your *****mobile you would understand.

I'm confused. For kicks I looked up the performance #'s on a C55....ummm, be honest man. The #'s alone say you can't win. 0-60, 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile, top speed, horsepower......all in favor of the C55 so I don't understand your comment that you would "smoke" one. Please explain?

Is that the best you can do? Sound more like something a school kid would say.

But then you are driving Neon.

So you think you can smoke any thing on wheels ( Mr. Red Light Racer )

You keep saying every one on this forum is in denial, But you seem to be living in a dream where Neon’s are super cars. I would suggest that you get that A$$ dyno in to a real car. I have never seen a Car & Driver article including Neon!! Against BMW M3's or AMG C-Class. Neon’s are not even considered to be in the same class. So go play with the rest of the Ricers.

Can we see a picture of this Super Car (a.k.a Neon?)

I have a 4000lb XJS that run 11.49 in the 1/4 that has a 600hp 427 Big Block Chevy + just for backup add a 250hp NOS kit (not a daily driver) I bet you think your Neon can take that too.
