Porsche C4S
Okay now that is over with ...
New Porsche C4S ... multiple highway runs ...
I first see this grey (seal grey?) Porsche come zooming onto the highway at a high rate of speed. I accelerate a little to see what it is. The driver (guy looks like Venture money) looks about mid 30s wearing dark sunglasses. I look at the speedo and its about 95mph as I"m pacing him. I pull up to the right of him and he punches it. I jump on the accel and easily catch him and go flying past. I slow down to about 80 waiting for him to catch up. He matches me at 80 and paces me for about 30 secs. He then pulls up to the left of me and mashes the throttle. As he passes me ... I mash the throttle again and easily catch and pass him. As I"m passing him I"m waving my left hand goodbye. (top is down btw) Again I slow down now to 70 mph. He catches up and paces me again
and this time I move to the left ... he goes for it and I just spank him really easily. I slow down again and wait for him to get beside me ... the guy won't even look over.
At this point we both just drive around 70 and end up getting off at the same exit.
Nice and fun ... I know not to bother even playing with a 997 unless its a GT3, GT2, or turbo now. It wasn't even close, I was accelerating so fast away from him it wasn't even funny.
Btw I've debadged my car ... so unless he knew it was an AMG from the quad exhaust ... he was probably going WTF.
Cheater.... What are you making like 400+ RWHP? vs a car making 320HP at the crank and probably 280-290 at the wheels lol. But I must say you have one hell of an SLK that thing must be scary to drive WOT. Have you raced any SC AMG cars?(such as E55 or SL55)
OOO sorry I was thinking the older C4's I didnt catch the part that it was new.... So how does the new one sound?

380hp...
therefore stock vs stock, it would be a nice race.
Modded or not: Anytime you go gunning at other cars, you never know what you might end up against.
355hp

A little off topic, but I was wondering why you chose to go with RennTech for supercharging versus Kleemann? You don't hear about too many RennTech SC cars, but Kleemann is all over on this forum.

SL65 06 renntech stage 1 ... just had both cars at the dealers getting some fixes ... me for valve body replacement and his was for intercooler pump. Run was from 0-120 - SL65 lost. Was this a slow SL65? shrug no idea.
As to why Renntech over Kleemann ... I don't want to start a vs thread here but here goes.
I personally chose Renntech because, in my research, Renntech seems to have better support and knowledge of the ECU. Since these cars are so dependant on the ECU I thought that was extremely important. Even if Renntech doesn't have the same HP as Kleemann (ex. YellowR1's car) I felt that I didn't want the car running so extreme. This car is my daily driver and I wanted to make sure that it would hold up. I have been amazed at the level of support that Renntech offers it's customers.
3rd reason which was a negative for Kleemann. This is not reflected on Kleemann products but on the tuner that I went to. He was going to be charging me more than Renntech even though I knew exactly how much he was SUPPOSED to charge. Since everyone is aware that Renntech is more expensive than Kleemann ... this gives you an idea of the markup this guy was trying to pass off on me.
Would you be posting if that guy had a 9ff engine upgrade to 700hp?
Stock to stock, he would've killed you, assuming he was really good at shifting.
Was if fair for him to race a car that is "supposedly" slower?
He got his *** handed to him multiple times ... live with it.
and if I got spanked by a porsche ... yes I would post it. Nothing wrong with losing to a faster car.

1.) It would've been a closer race if both you guys were stock.
2.) The guy wasn't an idiot and didn't know how to shift.
But overall, nice kill.
Looks like, after debadging, I'll get more challengers ... of course could have just been good timing.
Regards,
Jesse
I'd like to get some challenges from comparable cars. You know, the other cars I was considering before purchasing mine. Oh well, I'll get that in a few days at Thunderhill, then Infineon, the Thunderhill again!
You keep mentioning 600Hp at the crank. You should get that 911 of yours on a Dynojet & post your RWHP#.

, but nothing can beat an MB I guess.
