540i vs C32

540i vs C32
I noticed this C32 while I was getting gas tonight. (Side story: there was a dude putting 89 octane into a bi-turbo S600 
) The C32 was mildly modded on the outside and could've had some engine mods. I don't know.
So as I'm leaving the gas station we end up makin the left turn together and he took off. I didn't bother to chase since I was knew I'd lose, but this Volvo T5-R came out of no where and tried to chase him down. The C32 walked away from the Volvo and I, not to be out done, chased the Volvo down.
I pass and see that the C32 got caught at a red and the next lane was open. Light turns green and I get the jump. Thru 1st, till about 40 I stayed ahead, but he was already gaining on me. By the time I finished 2nd at 70 he was 2-3 car lengths ahead.
Its the first C32 I've heard at WOT and it sounded like a beast...could've been moded...and a photo of my whip.

I have run with a few 545's and but not many 540's. The results are usually the same as what you experienced.
From a stop, the C32 has really good 1st and 2nd pull.
I have not run with a 550 yet and that should be close. If I was stock, I give the ede to the 550 due to its SMG or 6sp auto,
But with a pulley, I should be ok

I have not run with a 550 yet and that should be close. If I was stock, I give the ede to the 550 due to its SMG or 6sp auto

Volvo R series are nowhere near as quick as 300bhp would suggest. Blame the cheapo 2.3 for that.
I was racing an 06 S4 late night up the Topanga Canyon and there was an R that could not keep up, in the twists or the straights. We hit the 101 S and the R was wheezing like a 40-a-day smoker.

Its not such thing as a M540i or 540iM, You can get a M package that normaly includes suspension and or aerokit. Not sure what is the normal M accesories in the US.
Far away from a M5.

There is a M540i. They are very rare cars, I believe that there are only 32 in existence. They had everything that the M5 had (brakes, susp, body kit, seats, etc.) except they had a 282hp V8 instead of the 3.5L I-6 from the M5. Mine is not an M540i, but a 540i Sport which is also rare, but not as special.
