Short Run w/ Audi S8

IT happened last night around 6pm.
Cold as hell, cruising suburban streets, thinking of hot meal wiating at home.
Right b4 I was ready to make left turn to head home. I coght the beast w/corner of my eye. It was huge. Split second decision follows, I got back to right lane. All I wanted to do is take a pick. So it happend He is in right lane, I'm in left. In front of us traffic light. Just turned red, we are both sitting there waiting for the green.Great machine all shiny, sparkling clean, you can almost smell new leather just looking at it. To my suprise driver of the beast is cheking my ride. We made an eye contact. He smiles like he is five years old kid w/ an icecream. (He is in sixties- I think). He just nods like he wants to race. My hands start to sweat, slowly leaned forward to turn off ESP, bumped shifter to the 1st and I'm waiting for green.
GREEEEEN >>> I think my foot went thru firewall and touched the engine...... wheels spining like crazy ...... supercharger whinning at high pitch...... let go of throttle ........ let it grab the road..... quick look to the right ..... he is still here .....floored it again........ am I so fast? .... he so.. slow... no way.. he is letting me win .... VICTORY..... or maybe not.

this 5 seconds made my day. I'm still

Thought I share the story maybe not a kill but a lot of fun in few seconds.

Tech details, lengh of run aprox 350 yards.

Gosh, I can't even turn without getting that damned orange triangle lighting up at me!

I use another car during winter so I don't have winter tires. But I still wanted to drive it, so before all this snowy crap I took it out for a bit to get my 07 style key.

jacek9478, what's the story with the Pontiac??

Glad to hear you had some fun, C32 is a great car. You know, these sport Audi's may not be faster than the M5 or the AMG 55/63s, but when it rains, no AMG or M will be able to stay with them. Lack of traction is a b!tch...

S8 is one Hell of a car !
Waited for that car myself a long time ,hoping to have Jason Heffner put in it a twinturbo setup from Gallardo.
It was the most disappointing call when he decided the engine bay of the S8 would not allow it.
Just imagine what a ride it would be,a nice luxury AWD sedan with close to 700hp!

I took C32 home for 2 days( dealer is located aprox. 50 miles from my home)
so I left GP at their lot. When I came back (was going to keep my GP) Salesman had a very strange look on his face when i told him to give me back my car. (no contract yet). Poor Guy had a "heart attack". Called the owner and from Him I found out what happend. Since the GP was in their lot they had somebody interested in buying. So he send one of mechanics to fill it up b4 test drive. He only made it out of lot to the street when had close encounter w/ Suburban.
It was about 2 months of negotiation b4 I signed a contract (of course enjoing C32 all the time). I think I got pretty good deal out of it.
