Unhappy Planning a kill, need input...

I will be performing an "acceleration test" (nothing illegal about that right?) against a 2000 Acura Integra. I want to hear some input before I race. Do you think I will lose miserably or win with ease?

Its a 00 Acura Integra vs. 89 300E

The Integra's got a "turbo" including a new exhaust and intake system. As I said its a 2000 and an automatic. Should I mention it has Neon lights inside? I know those really have an effect on performance

The 300E, as you all know, is a simple Benz, no modifications, same engine, same tranny from the day I bought it back in 89. It's got JUST under 300,000 on it.

So, who will win?

The guy is a friend of mine, but I can't stand those rice racers. Let me know what you guys think... (By the way, I'll post the results, probably this weekend)

gah.. sorry chupper, but i dont' think u have much of a chance.. if your friend has an integ who's dropped a turbo into it.. he's obviously knows a LITTLE of what he's doing... i'm guessing he's not in a Type-R, since you haven't mentioned it.. but i think ur 300E has a few too many miles to out run a 4banger with a turbo... but.. if you still consider runnin against him.. i'd take out all unnecessary items from your car.. (spare tire and such)... sneak them into his.. and just pray that the only thing you'll be reading is his stickers flashin in the night =p

Being a former ricer myself......id have to honestly say that a turbo'd integra would absolutely wipe the floor with you. Atleast 3 car lengths. Unless his turbo wasn't installed correcly or his air/fuel is completely off, its not going to be a pretty race, especially with almost 300K on your car. Just wanted to give you fair warning.....

Before my eclipse spyder became a complete trailered showcar, I use to race and beat V8 Camaro SS's, Cobra's, NSX's, etc.....(420h.p.)

You will get killed.....

Given that a stock Integra will run low 8 seconds 0-60 even with his exhaust and intake he will wun high 7's and with the turbo low 7's if not high 6's. Considering your car has almost 300,000 miles on it the engine is basically shot performance wise. Also a Integra is more of a dragster than a Benz which are made for more comfort/cruising. Tell your friend you want a 2 second head start or something and you will have a shot.

Later Guys,

Talking

Ha ha, well...
I guess I don't have a chance.

I'll take some crap out (rear seats, spare tire) LOL, i don't know about the rear seats...

But I'll let the gas tank run a little lower and put just a little 100 octane in their. Will this hurt my engine? I don't think it should...

That's a big 10-4 that E Benzs are meant for comfort.... The car starts out of 2nd gear (unless you floor it or pop the selector in "2" which I will obviously be doing)

I beat a Mitsubishi 92, can't remember which one, but it was in sport mode.

Also, the Benz won't burn out. The Acura might... could be a possible head start???

Again I'll have results on the weekend.

hehe...i don't think runnin a lil 100 octane should hurt, but u'll still get killed... i think a guy who drops a turbo into his integ would know how not to burn out either =p.. just guessin... have a fun weekend and good luck, but i wouldn't put ne money on ya.. hehehe

You are probably right... This kid isn't sure he'll win though. Maybe he'll see the nice MB Badge and freak out and then floor it staying still while his tires spin and I'm goin ! We'll see...

He is quiet, but maybe not so easily intimidated.

You could put 115 octane and remove everything but your seat (interior wise) and youll still be staring at the back of the integra. Do yourself a favor and sit in the integra while he takes you for a ride and you will feel how fast and how hard that thing will pull. Its very light compared to your car and has ALOT more power. Depending on what Turbo set-up he opted with, he could easily be running a very low 13 second quarter mile with a 0-60 time of about 5.0 seconds . So......if i were you.....id go ahead and pass.

In regards to it burning out, if its an automatic transmission like you say, a peel out will be highly unlikely if he knows what hes doing.

Well, you know what's going on about the race.
Insist to have your buddies two ~ three sitting in your car while
race that Turbo Acura, left the result "unclear" "not sure" if the
"weight" dominate

hahah.. just put all AMG bades all over ur car and get a fatty exhaust.. when you pull up beside him look extremely confident and say.. "hey you want me to run this in reverse to give you a shot?"

hahaha maybe he'll back down.. if he doesn't be prepared to take the consequences hahahha

HA HA! A bunch of AMG badges... I could randomly attach them all over the place. Not a bad idea, racing in reverse... if I saw someone do that I don't think I could stop laughing

Also, the RACE WAS DELAYED ! His turbo isn't in yet. Maybe I'll race him stock! (he does have a new intake system, though)
