If I were you guys I'd go to dragtimes and check the info, I'm pretty sure blown E39 M5's can't accelerate worth a damn, so I'd imagine a 540 isn't doing much better.

Blown 540i trumping a blown M5? ORLY???

I know I know, at least the work done to it is quality or I'd be up *****'s creek. Stock, low mile RSP's go for like 50k, its unreal.

you're blaming me because you have a vette?? are you guessing your numbers? let's see the timeslips and dyno sheets for your car...
Why do you have to be so obtuse? My C6 Vette at best stock runs a 12.50 1/4 @ 113-115 traps I have 350 rwhp 360rwto and weigh 3179lbs why don't you crack your slide rule open on that equation Einstein?

There's a huge difference, and I think you'll agree with me, between 10 year old limited production cars (mine's 1 of 24) and full production 540's that swarm the roads like flies. If you have Ferrari money, you're BALLINNNNN, hell the first major service on that car costs more than Jimmy's 540 Blue Books for. That's my issue. I drive a new M5 and I can't come close to affording an F-car, its a whole new level of financial security, that's my point.

you're the one who got all worked up when challenged....
power to weight isn't everthing, but it can give a general idea of how a car "could" perform.... I have weighed my car, 4065 pounds and it pulled 116 MPH traps with 419 rwhp. 9.7 pounds per HP....
The imaginary 540, weighed 3775, pulled 116 MPH (as per his posted picture of the slip) with 377 rwhp, 10.02 pounds per HP....
I'm not saying his car did it, I'm saying it COULD be possible..... how can you not see this? weather could easily account for a .26 difference in power to weight....
lets just end it here and agree to disagree....

2004 E55 AMG Silver/Black - stock (at the moment)
Jimmy540i - you sure you were NOT having one of those blonde moments - so to speak?
And second, I can't believe you have enough "pu$$y" to tell you're gf "wanna see who is faster"...that's f#cken grade-school sh$t. I can see it now, how you hooked up with your girl "Hi, do you want to be my girlfriend?, my name is Jimmy, I drive fast cars!"
I'm certain the guy in the SL55 was saying something about you as well...like, damn his girl is butt ugly!!! Yeah, she is and so is the driver...ok, I'll let Brad Pitt and Angelina win!

The C6 would, should trap 118-119 considering our weight, it doesn't break 115 stock..Alas the dreaded TM problem (need a tune to remove Torque Management), was not around on the C5 Z06 and they did trap as high as 117-119 stock so point taken..

"My 540i actually outputs 471.25HP & 421.25 ft lb of Torque if the STANDARD 20% automatic transmission Power-Loss Method is being applied. I used the 17% powe-loss method simply because Steve Dinan and I agreed to be more conservative about the numbers and let the car speaks for itself."
