Fun with a Cobra!
Well had my first real kill the other day! The kid who works the front desk at the gym that I work out at in Marin (when I am back there) just bought a used 01 Cobra. The second I walked in I knew something was up because he had a huge grin on his face. He loves cars he use to drool over my BMW (nothing much just a 02 325i but it was very nicely modified), first thing that came out of his mouth was “How’s mommies car? I got a little something of my own!” I kept my mouth shut and just smiled, I get that a lot being a young driver in a Merc (but I assure I work hard for my money). Anyway, he showed me his car and after the workout I was leaving and he pulls his car around front. Didn’t really think he was serious about the race sure enough he was so we headed to the freeway. Well we paced each other at 40 and did the whole 3 beeps and we took off. Went pretty much the way I thought or hoped that it would go. He jumped on me while my beast downshifted; his rear bumper was a little ahead of my front bumper. Then the AMGs roar echoed through the nights sky I pulled hard and fast to tell you the truth I didn’t look at the speedometer much but we were both over a hundred when we ended the race and I was about 5-6 car lengths on him and still pulling. He was in utter shock just sitting there mouth open. Asked if he wanted to go again but he refused saying that he was tired and needed to go home. My adrenaline was really pumping the whole ride home I had a huge smile on my face!

I find with Stang owners, it's the ones who DON'T brag or get all in your face about their cars, they're the serious ones...the ones who look over at a light an jes' smile, those are the ones to be careful of - walk softly and carry a big stick.

Yea I figured that out right before the race when he showed his engine. None the less I had fun he was like a lot of other mustang owners thinking that he was invincible. My buddy has an 03 Cobra which he just bought a twin turbo for... the thing flys but you take a turn and its all over.

Hahaha that’s hilarious hearing his side of the story... 
but none the less its funny to read how different the stories are hes a good kid we will race again when i get back next time I will film it so there is no confusion.

Yea I know he was making something like 500hp with the sc and other mods (according to him). That’s when I test drove thing was fast there is no denying it but you take a tiny turn and its all over. He claims the twin turbo is built to produce 1500hp I have yet to see it completely finished though.
