my jetta killed a cl55 amg
2 years ago I killed a cl55 on the outerbridge in staten Island, NY. Here is the catch. We were neck and neck while I was in low boost 14psi. Bumped it to 22psi on the fly and walk away very quickly.
Spec on the jetta
1991 Vr6 Turbo
weighs 2600 lbs fully loaded.
Low boost was 14 psi about 420whp
High boost was 22 psi at over 500whp.
Was fun, but now moving into a benz. Was a great time, but to be honest I would pass on the jetta anyday for a sick amg.

2 years ago and you post this now? Did you try and wait out the statute of limitations on BS?
It was probably not a blown CL55. The '02 models are NA. Besides, who cares how fast a '91 jetta is.

***?? hmm... tense? so yes this happened 2 years ago, when I had the car. And for joining the forum, thanks for the welcome. I dont see anything wrong with joining, as I will own a benz in a couple days.
You guys need to chill the **** out, tough **** if you think benzes are the fastest and greatest things in the world. There are other cars.
The topic of this thread is KILL STORIES and that was a kill story.
Thanks
Enjoy your day.

haha no its not jesse, but that jetta was on ebay a while ago and they were asking like 100k for it. Thats insane for that pos. I did choose to go with the C43, and will hope to boost it too.
I am not trying to be a bragging ***, just telling the story. I was a big vw guy before getting into benz and bmw.

it probably sold for 100k in yen, but the asking price for that POS was seriously around 100k. Actually some actor bought the jetta, young kid forgot his name. TV show with him and 2 bothers. Who knows what he bought it for. I would not pay 10 cents for that crap box.

Actually I don't call BS on your kill story, but 500 RWHP on a 2600 LBS car would beat almost any car on this forum, lets just set I'd have to see that dyno run in front of my own eyes to believe that. Although I've seen a Dodge Neon put down 580 so not totally out of the range of possibility.
Anyway cfourthree, if it's a nice welcome you're looking for you've come to the wrong forum, we'll treat you like crap until you have 500 posts especially if all you have is 2 year old kill stories with nothing to back them up.
Why not start up with some questions and pix of your C43?

CH,
I am interested in all fast cars, no matter what emblem their rocking. I love that body style supra. Not sure why they stopped making the supra. What kinda of power and times have you run with that supra? More pics?
I will find dyno runs of the old set-up when I had a T4 60-1. Then went up to a Gt35/40. I am supposed to pick up the C43 next week, if all goes well. I posted up in the c43 forum. Thanks for the advise.
Trez, the car was over 500 Front wheel drive. Wish it was rear wheel. Torque steer like a mother f-er. I have a ton of questions about the c43, so far the forum has been very helpful.
But keep treatin like crap, its all good.

i hate the placement of those kits. i mean really. how easy would it be to put a jack in the back of the car and cut the turbo's out?

V8 I wish. It was a v6 (hence vr6), the car ran a 11.56 on 22" slicks. spun through first. You guys would be very suprised at the VW's out there with there time slips and power. 2 friends who happen to be mechanics 1 ran a 9.56 1/4 and the other ran a 10.02 in the 1/4.
Not being a dick, but you guys should search this forum http://forums.vwvortex.com/zeroforum?id=124 and look at the times these car are running.
VW's and hondas are good imports to run fast 1/4 mile times. But benz and bmw have the great advantage on highway and topend.
My jetta felt like it was going to lift off the ground at 148mph. For those who laugh, the car has a quaife 6 speed trans in it. So top end was possible, but scary as ****.
I will look for my slips and dyno runs, go to this website, they are the mechanics http://cm-performance.com/ if you go into the gallery the 3rd car on the top was my jetta.
Again guys, ease up a little, I was not trying to start a battle by posting this. I am getting into a c43 this coming week.
