'99c230K vs. '95Mustang GT

my friends stock 1995 Red Mustang GT. we ran about 4 times, And yes I did beat him every time. I thought I would lose to a GT, but i beat him by about 1-1 1/5 car lengths everytime. anyone have any input on this race? I just started to drive this car, so I really don't know how much power it has...

hmm, congrats on the kill, but i still gotta say zah? a 95 gt weighed the same as a 99 c230k, but it had 215hp and 285 ft-lbs, versus the c230k having 185hp and 200 ft-lb. so, like i said, zah?

yea me and my buddy always raced, but I had a 2001 Acura CL, and i used to beat him with that all the time...

the gt cannot beat me on a str8 road, but when it comes to uphill, he just flys by me..

I don't get it....I would have thought for certain the GT would have the upper hand. However, get him on a twisty road and it's all over.

I'm sure that CL is the 225HP version right? I mean its not the S type right?

Sorry to say, but that can only mean one thing: your friend doesn't know how to drive. Was it an auto or a stick? Cause the autos were really slow...oh and as for twisty roads, my Mustang will outhandle my E420Sport anytime of the day or night...(well, it IS modified :p )

The 95' Mustangs aren't really fast, but are still quick with the stick tranny. The 1/4 mile time as I remembered is around 15.2 sec. The auto should be running 15.8 or 16.0 sec. I used to own a 2000 C230K too. The car is actually pretty fast. I have beaten a 2000 V6 Mustang on my trip to Vagas. Kicked his *** around 3 times. The design on the older C-class still looks great. I miss that car.

This is true. My roommate barely runs high 15s in his '90 5.0, and his buddy's '96 just barely pulls 15.1.
