Especially a B5 (00-02). Those cars have amazing potential...there is a guy in my area w/ over 500 horse in his...that thing is very very fast.

It was a 13 second car with just chip and exhaust. That car was awesome off the line if launched properly. I would not call bs necessarily, but the S4 was definitely not chipped. It also could have been tip or launched really poorly, because they can bog it not launched properly...

Btw, the E550 is awesome!
The CLK 55 is a low 13sec car even the older one. You beat one easy meaning you was running mid 12s? Like I said over and over I DIDNT KNOW WHAT MODS HE HAD!

Ive driven one, have you driven it or a 350? I guess not

What a mindless post. It makes no sense whatsoever.

Anyways, it's a good job you have AWD-enjoy the perpetual rainfall.

Never said mine was just chip and exhaust. Plus, 13 flat versus say 13.3 is a material difference...

Absolutely, went down to CT to pick up some wheels with my friend. The owner selling the wheels had his S4 on the dyno (met up at a tuning shop). His '01.5 S4 was putting down 425hp/450tq at the wheels! Amazing potential with those 2.7T engines.

Nope.

Feel free to remove the chip from your shoulder at any point.

Chicago- the X5 is wifie's. You'd be grateful it was AWD were you ever on the same road as her. It's people like her that give Korean girls their reputation on the roads

R, when someone's wife looks as good as yours it doesn't matter that they can't drive.

Is that a technical term?

And a slightly modded '01 S4 (Exhaust/Air Filter only, no chip) will most likely run a quicker 0-60mph time than a '95 C36. 60-100, I'm not sure, but I think the S4 will still be faster.

Thanks Nick, I'll pass on the kind words on to my other half.

I almost have some big car related news to announce. Just got back from the dealer and rather excited. I wasn't going to say anything until I have finalized the deal but you know how that is. Over the next two weeks things should be sorted and I will of course post pictures.

Lets just say Wifie's Cayenne is on hold...the clue is in my sig.

Stephen- rofl at your "tecnhical term" comment. (which also brings things back on topic)

Well, it's another warm night and I'm gonna break out the Corona and chuck some steaks on the bbq. Laters guys.

I'd race him if my shop had any stockish S4's around, but as of right now. Theres a Stage 3 S4, and a Stage 2 S4, and then my A4 with a blown turbo. The only stockish S4 hasn't had its clutch broken in yet =/.

Maybe this will put what the B5 S4 can do into perspective. When I had my C5 Z06, it had about 375HP to the rear wheels with the bit of stuff I added onto it. I believe this was a very very fast car...375HP at the wheels with 3116 lbs of weight.

I had a friend with a 2000 B5 S4 that was stage 2+ and had well over 100,000 miles on the clock. We hit it from 40 on, both in the proper gears. I pulled maybe 3/4 to a full car length on him up to 100 with both of shifting properly (not expert, but not missing either). That car was pretty damn fast.

Now, what kinda mods can I do to the E550 to get more juice?

is someone calling out a clk55

btw, my brother has a b5 s4 and i have a lot of respect for the car. but there is no way a 310hp (250stock+50chip+10intake) car is going to beat a clk55.

FWIW, just a ECU flash, GIAC for example, puts an additional 70-80hp and 80-90tq at the crank. Looking at around 320hp/340tq, 3500lbs. Not too far off from the 5.5, 342hp/376tq, 3700lbs.

first of all, the w208 amgs dyno at 290-305rwhp with a pretty flat torque curve. they only weigh 3475 (check mbusa.com).

a GIAC+intake s4 would be have at most 250awhp with a peaky torque curve. they weigh 3700+lbs (check any audi forum).

btw, i raced my brothers GIAC tuned s4 and won. i easily pulled away from him when my car got traction.

so you would know how fast the W208 amg are. i raced a tuned STI (400hp) and won. i had 2 passengers (380 extra lbs) and he was by himself.

When my CLK 55 spins its all season tires at 30mph on rough pavement you know its got monster lowend torque. Topend is no joke where the turbo 4 runs out of steam. Hey Tommy lets head out to E-town.

lol, no need to get all defensive. I was merely pointing out your figures were wrong. You're all bench racing right now as it is.

Well, I'm not running a giac. I'm running a custom SSP chip. Giac gives you 18lbs of boost I'm at 27-23. I also just killed a C55
