I think you totally missed my point, and newton22's point. The Veyron was not built simply to do the 1/4 mile. Anyone can build a fast 1/4 mile car out of any chassis they desire (lame). Apples and oranges. I'd say that a 10.22 1/4 mile isn't too shabby from a 200+mph supercar that can still go grocery shopping with the AC on. Oh - and let's not get started on what happens to the Mustang if there is a corner, or *gasp* a little rain on the road.

For almost a million and a half dollars, it'd better leave him in the dust!

C'mon that's not even a comparison! You're comparing a purpose built Drag car to a $Million+ Super Car! Why not compare a Prius to a Top Fuel dragster? Hey the Prius might not be as quick, but it gets better mileage!

Sorry, I got off topic there, and didn't mean to hi-jack your thread! The Mustang's trap speed is up there, meaning he's putting out some SERIOUS HP! The other's are right though, you won! Congrats!

lol, yeah... what does Europe know about racing? The big oval in Nascar is what it's all about... or the 1.4 mile strip-- now were really getting into racing.

Queers.

Take that 7-8-9-10 second Stang to Nurburgring, and suit it up against the 1000 Gemballa Mirage GT.

And have fun ****ers

Or heck even against a Vespa or Prius. Once the first of 70+ turns comes up, the Stang meets the nearest wall.

Ok Star-Wars, because it takes so much skill to go straight. You're the biggest airhead next to your dad who should have smuthered you in your crib.

Real racing is a far-cry from going straight for a 1/4 and jumping for joy at the end.

Oh let me guess your next post in proving your "straightline is the best racing" theory:

Boy is spelled with a Y.

Right?

Just ignore him ..... it's just more of his "American cars > everything else" or "American anything > everything else" baiting/trolling

If you're so sensitive that THAT offended you, maybe you should just jump off a cliff-- life is harsh.

Get a life dude.

Wow you sure told me off, if you have something interesting to say then do it.
Insults will not get you far on this forum and if what you type is meant to be funny I've got news for you it's not.

Ummmm, many a Mustang has knocked the pants off of M3's, Porsche's, Ferrari's, Viper's, Vette's and other high end sports cars on the road race circuit.
I love how as soon as someone mentions a Mustang accomplishment, haters jump in and start adding useless info about the many reasons a Mustang sucks. FWIW, I've owned many different cars and many different Mustangs. I have yet to see a regular Mercedes road car accomplish what the Mustang has done in racing over it's lifespan. Stop hating the car because it's a budget Pony car, it's a great car for what it is.

Yeah because you know, it's so easy to turn with your front wheels off the ground.
