SLK 32 AMG

SLK 32 vs fixed up Jaguar XK8

hey guys im amgchick's brother and i was with her in the race

So heres the story, me and my sister were stopped first at a stop light. Then the XK8 pulls up. Right when it turns green we both push it and my sister's car shakes a lot because she peels out. My sister won the launch and then he was pulling up but he was still 1 car behind then it became 2. Then my sister puts her hazards on. WE WON!!!

I have a 528 and im not suprised at all. Once i raced xk8 conv. in La Jolla. We made 2 runs and both times from 0-80 i was pulling on him, 80-100 we were pretty even and only then his v8 started to catch up with my v6. Im pretty sure ill smoke xk8 in my e430, but racing xk8 in slk32, its like fighting with the wheel chair, 1 handed, down syndrome invalid.

Are you sure you are not speaking of the XKR? The XKJ would kill the SLK32 AMG as it has the 390 horsepower engine vs. the 293 horsepower in the XK8.

The new XKR with the new 390hp engine will hang better, but it will not kill the SLK32. Don't get me wrong, the XKRs are one of the best looking cars out there on the streets (and I love to own one), but with the 20" rims, it's just not as fast as a SLK32. The new Jag Rs are all very nice, but it won't touch the AMGs.
