You know you don't have to read it? the title says it all yet you click in here to be a downer, there are plenty of Lambo, Ferrari, etc.. kills track times posted here yet you seam to have a prob w/the bowtie
Typical trap envy if this post was about an Enzo, P-car, etc.. you wouldn't say an ill word, Merc owners like you are I bet you've posted threads on your P-cars? what's the difference? Ohh wait I know the Chevy would humiliate them all, but has a shi*ty interior so it negates any acknowledgement..
Try & say a bad thing about the EXTERIOR??
Have a great day hypocrite

Guess you missed my point. This has nothing to do with marques it has to do with fact so....I'll go slow for your benefit. Stock Z06's with 475 at the crank trap 129 mph. Post says 600 hp at the wheels and does a 133 which isn't bad, but not for 600 hp at the wheels and a mild cam! How is that trap envy, btw my road race porsche traps 132 and it pulls 618 at the crank. So loose the trap envy bs.
I tested Lingenfelter's (God rest his soul) first C5 with a C5R block (427) and Sonny Bryant innards at Willow Springs. It made 550 hp at the crank smog legal. 640 with a big cam not smog legal. Your boys Vett with a mild cam head work and a tune makes 600 at the wheels which translates to 700 hp at the crank if you figure a 15% drivetrain loss. Thats a lot of HP for those modest mods, or maybe there's more than he divulged.
I've seen dyno operators get flash reading and people belive what ever the dyno says. The new test to debunk dyno figues is 60-130 mph measured with a GPS or Driftbox. If he's running 600 hp at wheels his times would be in the mid to high 6 second range. Oh, this doesn't have anything to do with interiors. The GPS doesn't care.

Jeez you sure don't know JACK about the C6 Z06! there rated at 505 CRANK HP 470 crank torque NOT 475 CRANK HORSEPOWER & Since I visit the Vette sites the C6 Z06 routinely fetch anywhere bet 460-490 rwhp BONE STOCK!! vASTLY UNDERRATED! Don't believe me? the guy who got 490rwhp bone stock was featured in a Vette magazine I'll find the link if you like know it all

Well its not like people won't recognize that its a Corvette lol. And I think that when 95% of people see a 'Vette, they don't go "look at the Chevy." Corvettes have been an icon for decades and they have always been the hottest american sports car. When I think of Chevy I think Impala, Tahoe, etc. Corvette is a legend and the new C6 models have further immortalized the Corvette name into the history books (car magazines lol). Whether it has a cheap interior or not, were else for $45k can you get a car with an exotic looking exterior and performance that is on par with or even beats a 911 Turbo (last issue of car & driver I believe).

Ah, ok, sounds good bro! If you were refering to 1/4 mile times I'd say you had 10 too many martinis lol . I should have read it more carefully myself. Take care
