I believe it is also because of drivetrain loss. For ex,the Evo Lancer IX typically pulls 240 to 255 WHP and 240 to 250 WTQ on a dynamometer. Basically 300 to 320 hp to the crank and it's manual.
So with the autotragic tranny in our C43's the 233 to 240whp is very feasible for 302 @ the crank. I'm not very familiar with the drivetrain losses in both cars, but we lose alot with our trannies.

Then the crank hp rating maybe perhaps a little overated by the #'s I've seen on both the Clk430 and the C43 make on a dynojet.

I dont get how you say 320 vs CLK430 then post 320 vs ML55 close race.. The CLK 430 is rated 1/2 a second quicker than an ML55 AMG in 0-60 rating. And over 1/2 second quicker in the 1/2 mile.
Might want to re race with a competent driver behind some of the cars you have listed.. I am not saying you didnt beat them but you beat them because of either a problem with their car or a problem with the driver.

well, when you have raced several 430's and the outcomes are all the same it gets boreing.
Then again the ml55 races i wasnt driving

On the way back we raped a CLK430 a new one. I honestly don't doubt it. A few months back, the mohegan sun meet where I took the ML to Tom had NO problems keeping up with the ML55. I don't doubt it, his car is a piece of odd work.

That I let off At 80ish maybe 90 ish I didnt post it before cause I didnt want to make it a big deal but, From 2 - 3 gear WOT at that time my car would throw a CEL and go into limp mode till I restarted it. Im sure I told you this at the meet. anyways the ML you were racing at that time was more like an ML5.2 lol and not a 55. But its very true your car is an odd piece of work. Not to mention the SIlver exterior on biege interior lol .. nah im kidding

What I dont get is how one person says a 330ci beat you which runs mid to low 6's 0-60 and upper 14's in the 1/4 mile.. (330ci is slower than my 328i)
How about you guys go to the drag strip and post some numbers. Cause right now these kill stories and what not dont make a lot of sense. I dont doubt it happened I just want to know about your car and some good 1/4 mile numbers will give a lot of us an idea about your car.

Me and him will both go to Englishtown after I put my K04 back in. I want to do some Odd E320 spanking myself. Because I know with a k04 my car is vastly quicker in the low end.

Because the one he beat was a steptronic, while the 5spd one I drove was a VERY close race, dead even till about 100 or so and then the bmw stretched him. I only underlined the point because Tom hates that hehe.

Let me know before you guys go to the drag strip and ill take my BMW out and run it the same night then we can post slips for the heck of it. Right now its starting to cool down which is great but of course the monsoons could hamper drag what you brung night lol.

matt. you still just don't get it. its not about the speed honestly man. i worry that i'm going to turn on the news one day and find out you died. You really gota slow it down. the only time i really ever drive fast is when i'm driving with you, only because your speeding and weaving. me and jared are always doing the speed limit when were not with you man. you really gota slow it down its getting insane man.

I'm not the one posting 8 kills on the road. And calling me yesterday how you got pulled over racing a 328xi and how you got a warning, or setting up a race for Sunday with Mbworld members, so quit spewing bull**** please, because you drive quite the same.
At least I don't have to worry about the rear end breaking loose on a RWD car with 215 wide rear tires and putting me into a potentially deadly spin.

Let me add on about speeding. There is a foolish risky way of speeding when you cut drivers off in and out of traffic. The smart way is when there is no traffic and speeding. Its not worth it risking your life and other drivers
