E55 vs C6 Corvette
Had a run in with a black C6 corvette with dark tinted windows, aftermarket rims, and a sticker on the back window that said Extreme something on the way home today--a google search revealed Extreme Corvette Club of DFW possibly. I saw him at a light but I was a few cars back in another lane. When the light turned green he accelerated quickly so I knew he would play. I got around the cars in front of me and rapidly closed on him and got on his bumper as my lane was ending. At the light ahead I was behind him and when it turned green he took off. I did to, sort of, I had to let off the gas to keep from rear ending him. I stayed right on his tail having to let off the gas several times to prevent hitting him as speed climbed up into triple digits. Traffic brought the run to a close soon after. At the next light I was next to him and tried to wave, but he was stone faced and just stared straight ahead and wouldn't acknowledge me. I don't think he was very happy.

probably a 4 speed auto.. a tick slower than a 6 man.
now they have a 6sp auto and the revised engine.. should be a good fight stock vs stock.
modded.. if you hear a blower on a C6.. stay away!!!

My friend and I ran from a light against his brandy new C06. What are they, about 400hp stock?
I knew he was going to kill me, and he did, but it was fun anyway. I had a case of beer in the trunk, so I blame the weight disadvantage.

lol...yeah the new C6 is a nice run for a 55/63 but anything less likely will not have enough.

I had a very similar experience with a newer vette but on the onramp highway. I had to step off the gas twice to keep from running into his behind and as he moved to the other lane I easily rolled right by him. The guy was much cooler though as he gave me a big thumbs up with a smile!

-It's so aggressive I can break traction at 65-70mph in 2nd gear

I wasn't going to do it till I read about the M6 w/3.91 gears & still being able to reach 195-200mph (1 tuner told me the opposite, & that I would limit my top end to 160-170ish, well tested her out on a long empty straight away & she indeed exeeds 170! I chickened out at 185ish thinking the PO-PO- would spot me, & there's plenty left to hit 200mph) the difference from 3.15's to 3.90's is HUGE!! I'd say SOTP 75-80% of a Supercharger Oomphh feeling...

-Trick is you can't just floor it anymore unless 75+mph or you'll just go up in SMOKE

Because my C6 is an 05' Auto they came w/3.15 stock it's an A4 Auto, 3.90's are as high as I could go or 1st gear would be useless, you put the 4.10's in Manual 6 speeds, 3.90 w/only 4 gears is equal to 6 speeds w/4.10's![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

besides a blower, aggressive gear ratios are the next best thing, really pins you back in your seat!
