Raced 11 cars last night

Wow, what a night...I'll try to make it brief. I was in my CLK500 and had a full tank of gas and my buddy with me. We were rolling with my other friend who drives an Altima SE-R. My car is currently stock besides resonator is out, green air filters, and riding on heavy 19"s.

Now for the races:

Me vs ricer Accord: It was some Yonkers "gangsta." I destroyed him and embarrassed him in front of his girl. He thought he was cool. I needed a warmup lol.
Me vs newer STi (vagina-shaped front grill one): Lined up at a light, both launched. I pulled pretty hard on him up to about 85mph. He was a cool dude and gave me a thumbsup, his girl was laughing. He told me he had an intake, exhaust, and "some minor ****."
Me vs older STi: After I beat that STi, a white one comes rolling through. Its probably an '05 or something. We set up for a highway race, he follows me. We do multiple runs, 20-120, 30-120, 40-120, 50-120. He beat me everytime, the closest I had was at the last race when we did a 50 roll. Maybe if I would have gotten up to higher speeds I would have gotten ahead of him? He told me he was stock and he sounded stock...but damn his car was fast, much faster than the modded one I just killed lol. He was a cool dude too, he was by himself.
Me vs Altima SE-R: My friend wants to play, I let him get the jump and I real him in. Those cars loose top end pretty quick. BTW, in lots of my races, he is racing too.
Me vs Evo IX: I spot a white Evo with a bodykit. I cut a quick u-turn and follow him. His turbos and blow off valve are very loud. Lucky me, I line up at a light. We both look, roll and at about 10mph I hear him punch it and I immediately hit it. We went up to about 120 and I clearly beat him pretty badly. He was a fat dude and had 2 passangers. I tried to race him again but he was being gay. My other friend in the Altima spoke to him and he goes "does that CLK think he beat me? I started in 3rd gear." Complete bull*****. He got owned in front of his friends.
Me vs 90's Mustang: Guys with his girl, has a straight pipe exhaust and weird headlights. Once again, I layed the smack down. Afterwards he tells me he has 340hp, I said I only have 240 lol.
Me vs Nissan 240: I destroyed him and the driver was laughing and gave a thumbsup.
Me and modified Mustang GT: Ok, I spot (and hear) a nice black new Mustang with black deep dish rims and mean exhaust. My friend said he knows him and that his car is mad fast. I roll behind him and he spots me and takes off. Damn his car was fast. It wasn't really a race but I followed him and got to hear how badass it sounded. He then cut a quick turn and bounced, oh well. I feel like if we raced he'd probably beat me by a car or two.
Me vs B5 Audi S4 and 350Z: Just my luck, I spot a beautiful blacked out Z and cut a u-turn and we both line up. In the right lane my friend randomly rolls up with his blue S4. A cop made a turn and was going the opposite direction so I was focused on the cop. Light turns green, S4 and Z launch and I do too. They got the jump so they were both ahead by about a car. Nobody really gained any ground up to about 120, but I had to let off at 110 because the S4 had to switch lanes and cut in front of me and I didn't want to kill him lol. I think I would have pulled the Z cause when I let off I was still right on his tail.
Me and BMW 335i: Red 335i coupe, 2 guys in the car. I chase after them and they both know its on. The car was fast, we were just playing around in traffic but I could feel that he probably would have taken me in a race. It sounded nice too for stock!

And that was my night. Best part was that all of these races were just totally random encounters. No cops either. I did lots of drifting too. Awesome night. I know some of the races are stupid and I shouldn't even list them (I usually don't) but it just added to all the fun. BTW, everything happened over the border in Mexico.

Thank you. I know, its a shame we didn't. Though I was looking through my friend's computer and we found a few crappy old videos of me racing which he's going to try and get on YouTube soon. It seems like only the dumb races get filmed but for the amazing races nobody seems to have a camera that works lol...

Not really a kill if there was a fat guy and two passengers in the car, thats a LOT of weight. You'd run the Evo in the top end regardless though, they run out of steam. Much like all 4cyl Turbo cars do, (other than BT applications.)

you have to be really looking to race, I guess. 11?
I just drove my car 2 hours, and my car gets some attention, and nobody even thought twice about going through the gears with me.
Please explain your technique to get people to race you.

The run with the s4 and 350z. You couldve pulled the Z after 120. Those speeds the Z shines. Not bad for a "slow 350z".

BMW FTW
You wont be close to a 335i... Stock they are beating E 46 M3's not only in 1/4 mile time but in trap speed. 335i all around is a quick car, tons of torque and plenty of horsepower.. CLK500= high 13's to low 14's.. 335i is low 13's to mid 13's. If you guys raced you would get rapped all across the board.

I'm glad you added that part. I'll assume it stands for Big Turbo applications. Modded stck turboed EVO does not fall on it's face topend as easy as you think. Definitely not my Talon(garrett 60 trim T3/T4) untuned ,ask Sleeper X,Jidex and the E60 M5/ E63 M6 guys!

Thanks for all the comments guys. It was just a weird night where I got lucky I guess lol. Even though I took my exhaust off, I still get challenged by everybody in town.

About the Evo, I had 1 passanger so I guess his extra passenger made the kill null and void? Lol.

I was also impressed by the 350z. Maybe he wasn't stock? Either way, the car ran very nicely.

I wanted to run the STi up to much higher speeds but traffic kept preventing it. And yes Carl, I saw your profile and I'm sure that your car is one nasty SOB. I have a buddy who has a black Talon (he was at Edgewater thurs) and he tells me his car is very very fast. Theres also some dude who has a cane, he has a Talon thats supposed to be running in the low low 10's .

And SleeperX, I saw a nice black Z06 and a Viper but I didn't want to embarrass myself. Next time you feel like "crossing the border" let me know, I def gotta check out your car. I can setup a race between you and a slightly modded E55.

Peace

That M3 is slightly modded...a 335i with tuning can run high 12's in the 1/4 mile. That should be right on par with the new E92 M3. It's an awesome tuner car...now lets hope someone swaps out the 2 miniature turbos and gets some real power to the ground. Only problem is I heard the car was having heat issues and the ones that were running a little higher boost were having problems with cylinders misfiring, etc.

Speaking of 335i's, I raced a 328i two nights ago. He started out way ahead of me and I reeled him right in.

I also raced a Charger SRT8 on i87 last night. I thought it would have been a rape but it wasn't so bad. He pulled me by about 2 lengths from 40-120. At first we were weaving and I was chasing him but he couldn't shake me. So we lined up and spoke a little while rolling. He was very proud of his car lol. I gave him a . I hope Marc sees this post because I'm sorry but theres no way an SRT8 could pull on a modded C32 AMG.

I think its safe to say that this night was one of our best in terms of races vs lack of cop activity. And yes, my car does lose top end pretty quick but your car is a torque beast compared to mine. That SRT-8 guy nearly took off my rear bumper trying to get next you lol (guess he has no love for the japanese cars). Sick races though, you dominated every car that tried to cross the border.

I wouldn't exactly say an intake on an m3 is slightly modified lol Its hard to get any extra power out of the s54.

But yeah the 335i is a very tuning responsive car. Threres a video of a modified 335i walking away from an m5 or m6.

I've heard some things about overheating too and other things thats one of the reasons I bought an m3. I figured I'd let BMW fix all the bugs first.

I have been following this issue very closely. There was a batch of early US bound automatic equipped 335i's that were built without oil coolers. When run hard the oil temperatures could go to or above 300f. However, all manual transmission equipped cars had the oil coolers. Those cars had no issue.

I was recently at a track day where one of the instructors was driving a 335i stick. He pounded the snot out of his car and never saw oil temps over 240. When asked he told me that he has never had an oil temperature issue.

IMHO I think reports of this problem were greatly exaggerated because of the internet. In all I have counted about 15 cases of owners reporting high oil temperatures. From a purely statistical standpoint 15 out of thousands of cars sold is not a huge issue.

Yes, I agree. And this was specifically for the first batch of automatic 335i's. The newer ones had this issue totally resolved. The manuals had no problems at all.

Now, on a tuned 335i, I guess we have to wait and see.

Thanks my man. Now, should I list the 3 chicks in the white Civic as a kill ?
"I'll call you later" VROOOOOOM! hahaha.

Or how about the granny in the Camry who tried hunting me down

Or the multiple boosted scions that tried racing me while I was dipping on the thru-way while chasing down our local neighborhood torque beast (shnarf).

Awesome times bro

Those girls in the civic are definetely a kill in my book.

The old lady was in a Corolla and thanks to the Drift King abilities, you were able to evade her.

Shnarf was dipping like his life depended on it. All for that Evo that ended up not racing anyway, but instead leading us on an exhilirating thrill ride through traffic.

Omg, send me that vid....on second thought, I don't think posting documented footage of engaging in a "contest of speed, evading an officer, and tripling the speed limit" is a good idea lol...stupid Mexican police.
