E550 vs. 335i
I was coming home from work 2 days ago when I saw a 335i a few cars ahead. First off I have to say they look great in person, the twin tailpipes with the new body style make for a real sharp look. A mile or so later I wound up a car in front of him when the light ahead turned red, he cut over pretty aggressively to get lined up next to me. When the light turned green I jumped into it and got about half a car off the light. I heard his motor screaming so loud I could not hear my car! That thing does not sound great when being pushed, kinda raspy. Anyway I was pulling away when I saw him give up at about 90, my guess I had 2-3 cars on him.
I know he was in it the whole time based on his engine noise, but I expected a little more from his car. Everything I have read says we should be near even, but even in the 80-90 range I was still pulling abeit slowely. He certainly did not have any motor work done, as I've heard those cars respond real well to modding. We gave each other thumbs up and he went straight while I turned away, all in all I was real happy...

yeah those 335i are quick and they tend to have 300HP but some members here mention that they are underrated which means they have more than what they have
Either way good kill... add a powerchip to your E550 and you'll get over 400HP

E550, X5 4.8
i did some mods on my 335, and run 13.1 on 1/4 mile.
the best i was able to get out of 550 was 13.6 on 1/4 mile.
but then again i was called a shi*y driver by some forum members
oh i just did the exhaust on the 335, jeeez the gain in kick i can easily feel, it is fast, no doubt.
however, the power delivery on 550 is just nice and smooth, u cant have than with turbos.

vishnu just hit 400 whp, though it was not on a full exhaust. it was the piggyback and just a catback. however, it was also on 98 octane. no tuner has gotten that close to hitting 400 whp on pump gas.

stock for stock 550 and 335 were identical to about 80 mhp.
