And what type of car would you be driving? If an A4, aren't Audis from Germany, too?

what kind of race. i'll bring my car out. its kinda slow right now, but it will still be fun. She is only running low 10's in the quarter, as long as we are going straight i'll race anything in that!

what was your point posting here?

Umm, remember, it Timmy talking.

Of course, his Hatchback runs 10s. If the track is slippery. With traction, its in the 9s. Or 8s. Yeah, yeah, that's the ticket.

Remember, it does have a brand new engine now, so its very fast. :p :p

well i think a C32 is a different animal (even S4....which the current STOCK S4 would lose in 1/4 mi). I am however interested in an 01-02 A4 chipped 5spd vs 02 C230k coupe pulleyed 6spd....1/4mi should be close.

Here's the thread on Audiworld http://forums.audiworld.com/a4/msgs/1412744.phtml I'm interested in how this turns out (i'm bored at work)

Talking

I have a 2002, T-28 is in the works, but the kit won't be available until December the earliest...Another company called ATP is also almost finished with a 400hp kit. So I have now wait a couple more months...Don't get me wrong, I like the C-class it's just the tunning potential on the A4 1.8T is incredable, which was the reason I bought it (I looked at C-Class and E46). Tberry, I was interested how the cars would do too...Anyways, just wanted to know if anyone wanted to have a friendly race?

PS - In a couple of months I'd love to run a C32

The context of Timmy's sarcastic comment was to attempt to evoke a sense of humour...Didn't work. Smartass

BTW, the Z4 is okay, just don't really dig the chiseled look. I still find the 7-series ugly, and the spy photographs I've seen of the new 6-series is ugly as well...

OusterA4,
Good to hear that this was a proposal for friendly race as I used to own an 99.5 A4 .18t and every A4 owner I met were great people. You may wish to change your MBworld sig as it may be seen as an insult. There's no denying the aftermarket/mod potential of B5/5.5 platform esp the various 1.8t engines....heck thats why i bought one. However after a while i started spending WAAAYYY too much on mods (about $6-8k in a year+) and ran out of that nice Audi warranty (free maint, loaner, etc). As i'm gettin old those things means more to me so I opted to look for an 03 A4 1.8t, BMW 325i/ci, Infinit G35, MB C230 coupe. after leather, sunroof, premium audio, 17" wheels + sport susp/pkg the Coupe was the cheapest with decent power. I miss my A4 though, 99.5 was considered the best year for B5 as it has the all red interior, the newer 00-01 exterior (really ask folks on audiworld ).

Wink

Tberry...Done. The sig was more a lame attempt at humour then anything else...Not like any of you MB people have any respect for Audi in the first place...Anyways dont get me wrong, my mom onws an X5 and my dad owns an E-class (I do tease them) but they are great cars. Just in my opinion dont have the same value, style, and tuning cap. that Audi has...Thats all

You will lose in an UGLY way. No C32s will want to go with you becuase A moded VW GTI is good enough to beat you already.

Harris...Do you do high 12 second runs? Do you? Your lack of knowledge will get you into trouble in an ugly way...

BTW the kit is NOT out yet for the new B6 platform, therefore I do not have it yet. But on the same token, there are B5's with APR stage 3+'s running high 12's...

Well, who is the "lack of knowledge" one is not just by saying some BS on a MB board. You are saying something that doesnt even exist at this moment. What I was trying to say is a GTI basically shares the same engine as an Audi 1.8T. If you do the exact same mods on a GTI, the GTI will win because it's a 2WD car and its lighter. I owned a GTI, I know how fast a GTI can go. Sure, there are B5's with APR stage 3+'s that can go high 12's, but not all of them can. You dont even have the kit on your B6, what are talking about? What you are saying here is no difference than me saying "oh, I will get a Renntech Performance Package 2 upgrade in a few months time and my car can do XX.XX". Come on, give us some FACTS when you HAVE installed the kit, post some figures, then we'll talk.

If you have a deep pocket, to go 12sec or under in a 1/4 mile is nothing. Its also unfair for you to use a moded A4 and try to run with a C-sedan or C-coupe. And you are challenging on your very first post that "e-mail me if anyone is brave enough". If you dont consider this as starting a flame, I dont know what is!??
