SLK55 vs old Civic w/fart can
I'm only posting this because I was cracking up about it.
I was driving through Mexico on the way to work. Weather was nice, 70 out, top down, just putting along. I pass an old blue civic hatchback with a loud fart can. Didn't think much of it an continued on my way. I came to a light and the civic is in the lane next to me. Light turns green and I accelerate normally. I hear this loud obnoxios noise to my right, gears being shifted furiously, I see the front end of the civic lift under hard acceleration out of the corner of my eye...is he trying to race me? Should I floor it? Nah, I'm already running away from him and I'm only at 1/8th throttle.

This thread reminds me of the time I was in the ML55, there was a gen 2 RX-7 and a integra reving at each other, they took off, Middle lane between them open. I figured that a 5000lbs truck catching them and overtaking them would be pretty hilarious. I went into kick down, passed them with ease.

When heavily modified, these lightweight Civics can deliver some staggering times. Sure, with a limited budget you can build a Civic to dust an E55 in the quarter mile, but have fun doing tune-ups every couple thousand miles.

Everytime I've gone to E-town theres a gutted civic running 10's. Unfortunately, they almost always spill stuff all over the track resulting in an hour delay.
