300c gets Owned

FINALLY!!! got a chance to take one on.

Leaving the gym today, as i walked to my car i walked by 2 guys in a black 300c parked in front of my gym today and got in my car and started up. I pull out of my spot, and rolled up the lane towards the gym. while driving towards their car, they pull off and while pulling of the driver straight stares at my car, so I follow them out. Just as luck will have it, they go my way. We jump on the little mini free way that connects the gym to my home city, nice little strip of clean straight bridge and land. Before jumping on, at the red light I put it in second and take the esp off.

As we merge on, he guns it, so do I! he quickly pulls of to another lane and lets me get next to him. Then we go at it from a 40mph roll, he keeps pulling but surprisingly I was keeping up with him.

We hit another light, at this light I put it back in second, and light turns green.

I'm OFF, I pull away hard with him right on me, and I just kept climbing, and shifted just right at every point, I got half a cars length on him and at about 80-90mph when we started slowing down and entering another light where he turns left and I keep on straight.

Hemi DOWN!!!

I finally get my answer to the Hemi question lol!!

Well, I wouldn't qualify half a length as being owned, but nice run nonetheless.

I DONT LIKE 300C'S, everyone has them since you can can a used base model for $15,000, then they put 22's on them and consider themselves ballers. If they only made the SRT8 model I would like it better, then it would be a luxury car that not every one can afford.

its worse for me, i have to deal with a Spoiled Kid from the group i associate with. He drives a Magnum Hemi and thinks he's the ****. nothing to sweat, just want to make sure i can handle it before hand thats all lol.

Hey Ben, you a member over at the Magnum/Charger/300 site? bunch of my old Dodge Intrepid friends are over that way

nah, their is a 300c with a SRT front bumper driving around.

ShoreWay is Route 2 that connects lakewood to i90, its a little strip, great turns and stuff.

That C Kept taunting me to race, everytime i gave it gas he would back off, pissed me off.

no DON'T Check the shore way lol, unless your their during a day time hour, the cops patrol it once you get closer to Lakewood, so careful lol.

i have a few locations to play with, just let the weather warm up a bit, this wind is sick.

tell you what, 2am-4am on i90 between Lorain rd and 140th, its a almost straight shot and DEAD AS HELL, not even a semi truck.

trust me, i know.

once the weather breaks we could do that one night after the clubs or something

If I would of left it in Drive instead of 2nd I would of gotten my *** handed to me, HARD!

My dude with a E350-4matic(yea, v6) SMOKED me from a dig because he hit it in 2nd and I was just in drive. AND i'm the one with the sprint booster lol.

Starting in 2nd like that helps me launch quicker and better.

Is that a bad thing to do or am I just confused?

when you say you start it in second, im assuming you use the speedshift and choose 2nd gear. why dont you choose first gear instead? i dont just keep it in drive, but if i go from a stop i keep it in 1st.

i personally think it shifts quicker if you actually select first gear. i have no data or evidence that proves this, but i think it shifts quicker and it initially accelerates quicker b/c it is already in the optimal gear. so wait, when you start in second, you select second gear using your speedshift, right?

wouldn't it just be faster to let the car shift itself?

i don't get the whole shifting thing. You can't put the car in 1st???
