i can put my car in first. it is speedshift. i tap the shift knob left to down shift and right to upshift. thus, i can select the gear i am in at essentially any point in time.

and like i said, from a dig, i have noticed increased throttle response when actually choosing first using speedshift as opposed to just keeping it in "D"

You just need to drop a 5.5L motor in there and you'll be good to go! That should make up for the tremendous weight penalty u have there.

Never raced a 300c hemi. I take it the CLK55 should have no problem. How about an SRT 300c? Would that give me some trouble?

Well I've seen quite a few selling on ebay and my guy charged me 1500.00 to drop it in plus bought the motor for 5k. It would have cost me 1200.00 to drop it in but the cam timing on the motor was off a tad (thank God only a tooth) which meant he had to open the valve cover and re-adjust the cam timing.

I'll tell you this though, the 5.5L motor will turn your car into a beast. Ask me how I know!!!

Yes the SRT8 will give you a problem Stck vs Stck. The W208 might have a little better chance since it's lighter. Those SRT8's pull pretty good upstairs.
Do the ECU and exh mods and IMOP u will give them a tru run for the $$$$ even when they r modded.

Good kill. It would of been nice if you would of destroyed him though.

I've had a local guy with a Magnum SRT-8 always romping around on me in traffic (where he knew a race would not happen). Whenever I was cruising and saw him in my rearview I would slow down at times even to around 15mph to wait for him but he would also slow down and never get beside me, LOL.

Well I finally came up beside him one day in my Supra and handed his *** to him like none other. The sound of my open wastegate probably scared the hell out of him.
Damn posers think they are invincible if they have a loud 300hp Hemi.

No question about your Supra, but would your C have taken him tho??? The SRT-8's ARE quick.

When i was getting my car it was either CL500 or S500.

I choose the S because im IN NY. If I was in Miami or California I wouldve gotten the CL500 as its a sexier car , though the S500 is sexy as well.

I think if you just drove in automatic from first, you wouldve rip him more.
The manual in automatic cars is slower and starting from 2nd?? wtf? It accelerates slower without a doubt.

Those two cars CL/300C are almost a drivers race with the edge going to the Hemi.

300C is a nice car. Best bang for the buck (besides the 300CSRT8) without a doubt. Only problem is there are a BUTTLOAD of them on the road now and you don't feel unique or special owning one anymore. When they first came out in 05, it was nice to have one.

no WAY off, try it out, from a red light stop and some clearance if you have it, start off in second with esp off, you'll take off like a rocket.

try it before you knock it hommie

I haven't tried it...but would seem illogical for this to be faster than starting in 1st.

+1 it is illogical LOL

1st is always quicker acceleration thats why its there haha.

U might as well push the W button for wet mode, its starts in second because its slower/less accleration so less likl ull spin out in snow or wetness that why its for wet mode lol.

i wouldn't race a supra either if i heard a bov go off...

To the OP, good kill. I think hemi's are over rated. I think the ls engines are better domestic engine.
