slk32 vs 6.0 GTO
The other night in mexico pulled up next to a dark blue GTO with some fat tires and a loud exhaust. He did 3x honk from a slow roll, I let him a pull a 1/4 cl then let him have it.. cut off at 100 and had at least 2 cl's on him.

These cars are not very fast at all. I raced a 6.0 procharged GTO and he ran 13.9. with wheel spin. I did a burnout competition before th race, so i had massive wheel speen and ran like a 14.7~9. GTO's have a good fear factor, if you never raced one, but they're slow as hell.

An SL65 can also run a 13.9 with horrible wheelspin...so that is not indication of how fast the car can be, but more so the obvious outcome of lack of traction. In a straight line, they are pretty quick; the SLK's lighter weight gave it the edge here.

The power of the SLK32 and 55 are the same. The 32 is a few hundred pounds lighter but the 55 makes up for it with the 7 speed tranny. I won't argue against the SLK55 being the better car. The 55 is better in every concievable way.

There's quite a few members here who have ran their cars. They're all consistent high 12s at 110. Except the supercharged ones that run mid 11s at 120.

Nice kill. The GTO is a pig with a nice engine.
Procharged LS2's are capable of 500-700rwhp depending on the setup (and I'm talking about a stock block). You'd be toast if he could launch.
I only got one run in on my C6 Z06 at e-town. I ran a 14.2 because I had a nail in my tire (thank God for Runflats) and wasn't able to get any traction. You think my car is slow because I ran a 14.2? Trust me, the GTO would spank you on the highway where traction is less of an issue.

I'm just sharing my story. I still think it's slow for the size of its engine. I had wheel spin for longer than he did. If I had no wheel spin I would of ran mid-high 13's and beaten him.
