You left out pontiac...thats the exact same argument being used on the slk vs gto thread..lol. 
I agree that he should've posted all his mods..and not try to hide the fact he needed to be relatively heavily modded to beat the mercedes.
That in a way makes him a ricer...just like if i said i beat a bugatti veyron off the line and didnt mention the fact that he was parked and he wasn't even driving the car.

Yes its a time bomb when putting close to 400whp. This guy had one and it was running poorly knocking often. The comp on these motors are too high for too much boost.

I have 26k on my car with 15psi and zero problems, many guys have 50k with 12 to 15psi and no problems. If you have a good tune like the Juice Box 3 then there's nothing to worry about. Good software is more than just adding boost.

Dude no way in hell an SL600 rolling should lose to a tuned 335...Hell If you lost to a 335, I do not care if it is Terry Burger himself , you would lose to the CLS 63!!! I was at the track with Terry and while he had quicker ET's MY CAR OUTRAPPED HIS by 1.5 mph.

I personally run the JB3 now and the tune is amazing and reduces boost do to the the increased IAT Decay, so it is pretty much a saftey feature that helps to not overboost the turbo's. Also Vishnu's car is not the fastest around, also vishnu has many problems with limp modes, major boost spikes and pulling timing and increasing boost above the recommended level which is around 15 psi on 91 or 93 octane.......
Also to the guy who said he had a ET which was better than Terry's car obviously doesnt mean anything, its all about the time, because if i am not mistaken a 11.8 @ 115 beats a car at 12.0@116.5.......obviously we would all like to see high ET's though
Also I ran a guy from this forum 2 weeks ago who has a 2005 E55 AMG and won by about 3 car lengths from a 40-120mph run, we ran it 3 times, everytime was the same result.........

Hey it was great meeting you all! Krazzeee results from multi races Danny (W211 BEAST) deff must have a failing intercooler, (MJ50) got beat by Mario's 335i by 2 lengths he told us he has a Renn pulley & ECU

after doing few runs with danny on the way back home, i pulled much better even after he had a head start.... i want another run with mario

I ran Dwayne's C6 the last Euro-meet we all went to, I figured something like heat or IC must've plagued his C6, (we ran dead even on 2 races) but you say he was still
Mario lined up w/Dwayne & my SL but said he gave up after we both started pulling on him, (I think there wasn't enough room for a 3 way lol!) I hope we can run them again.
I guess my 600tt likes the 100 octane, I'll be running it again @ the next meet def would like to race all you guys

ps..How bout we hit the TNT 1/8 mile @ irwindale on thur night?
Only thing I have deleted MUFFLERS, the irwindale track says NO mufflers NO track time, do you know if they'll catch my missing mufflers before we run @ tech chk in? the car idles very nicely because of the Turb's

A well runing SL600 should be runing 1/4 in the high 11's, very low 12's in stock form. If I'd have to guess before your race, I'd put money on your SL instead of the C6 as well.
You should take your car to 1/4 track and see how well you do. Make sure to have AC off and speedshift on at a high RPM when launching from a roll.

still a fast car though..I found out later the 335i was using RACE GAS as well, infact he used it on ALL the previous runs when I didn't, it makes a BIG difference on us CA 91 octane guys, the gas here is absolute KRAP! also Turbo'd cars love high octane
EVERY SINGLE high 11' - mid to high 12' RECORD RUN ON DRAGTIMES w/335's was made WHILE USING RACE GAS, in addition to nearly every MOD available they can bolt-on or ADD to that 335 model bmw.

And I'm happy to hear that you gave that little 335 what it deserved. Sorry Mario, but it feels like crap when you lose to a 335. Thw orld just doesnt make sense anymore. lol

You guys wont be talking so much **** once these turbo upgrades come out that have been in development for a while now. also AMS performance has steped in on the ball game with the 335i, so I guess you will be seeing my taillights once I get some bigger turbos...........

you gotta remember this car is only 2 years old. Let me upgrade my turbos and i think there will be alot more crying going down on this board.......
