not sure who's car this is.. but you can read about it on the kill section.

I have no doubt the 335i can keep up with a stock E55 when tuned with JB3, V3 or Dinan Stage 2...

but a Stage 1 E55 does not add up...

a while ago.. we saw an ASP pulley E55 with NO tune.. barely loose to a V2 335 with intake, exhaust, DP's and FMIC..

and we all know a pulley E55 with no tune is about stock and at times worst than stock.

From reading the E55 just got their mods and didn't see any cooling mods or upgraded pump.

no excuses ... the E55 was there to represent but was not able to pull away.

I hate to say it.. but everytime the 55k car loose is usually something to do with IAT's....

a rematch is set for this weekend..

Sometimes we will have to learn the hard way. In order for these cars to make power IATs must be maintained very low!!! Or you will get your behind handed to you...

that was my car...
and my first also...
i floored it but the car just didn't have good acceleration...
i was in S mode and D gear.
not denying what happened but could do better after more practice runs...

and technically, it's not RENNtech stage1...
i have RENNtech pulley and SI ECU tune, magnaflow mufflers with 3" pipe
no cooling mods

palnning on 2nd cat delete and then 80mm TB mod

Can you tell 335 faster than M3 (333hp). I raced heavy mods M3 at 35miles and pasted him at 60miles . that guy said he had CF trunk , CF hood, Headers , dinan axshaut, ecu tune , light weight pulley claim 370WHP .

Quote: any recommended installers in SoCal?
Contact Code3 he is Santa Barbara and down in So Cal frequently.

His cores are manufactured by Spearco... and he can do the install in about 2 hours max.

not sure about this week end...

btw: Stage 1 = any pulley + any ecu

you can have a Renntech Pulley and ECU.. = stage 1

exhaust= not really considered a mod.. aside from extra sound

at the very least.. change your pump to Johnson.

you might not feel the supercharger shut off.. but you are pulling serious timing and making less power the faster you go.

or race at night.. probably best for everybody. The 335's don't have the high IAT issues as much as they have the high oil temp issues...

our cars are the other way around..

race in S mode, comfort setting and stab the lever to the desired gear..

if you roll from 60.. stay in 3rd gear and just punch it.. it will automatically downshift at readline.

whats the reasoning behind comfort for the suspension? btw from another thread

Quote: beat one in my LET powered c32 this past weekend up in chitown. who knows if he had any tuning done it was a street race for money so i dont think he was telling me the truth about what it had done, he said "it was bone stock but he had plans for it" i was pulling away from him pretty good on the top end.

the car on the left is mirz in his e55

May as well do it right... order a power steering reservoir from bimmerworld dot com. Grab the supplies lited in Brian S's Split Circuit DIY and split the I/C from the engine (plus some various sized plugs for the T and the second inlet into the p/s reservoir). I would make one change to the install directions. Instead of cutting off the T from the engine cooling circuit, I might leave it in tact and instead put a plug on what was the old I/C line. Cutting those clamps off was a beotch.

This will allow the heat exchanger to run on its own fluid. Not sharing coolant with a hot engine. I saw some pics of really nice setup a while back that was mounted in the trunk. Ice water in big aluminum reservoir. That would be the ultimate. I thought it was someone on the forum.
