Going to the track!

Members, I'm headed out again to the local 1/4 mile drag strip. (Been there before, hence the forum name) and I thought that I'd ask you folks for any racing tips (other than go fast and win) so that I can get a better launch at the light. Information is POWER.

Let the advice begin................

Here's a tip: be prepared to switch your username

Lol run your car in dyno mode. Load the torque converter just a bit and roll into the throttle. Obviously, make sure AC is off and remove anything you don't need in your car.

Leave on the last yellow, or before.

If you leave on the green, you're giving up five carlengths already...

So you are running low 10's in the 1/4 mile? Post up the timeslips and a video of you racing at the track.

guys, we all know most z06 owners can't use their cars properly so lets not get into that debate again. i've never lost to a z06 on the street or at the track...but i KNOW they should be the quicker car and i'm sure his case is no different.

He also might be referring to the C5 Z06. Big difference in performance between the C5 and C6 variations.
