2001 Audi S4 vs. Bentley Continental GTC
Last night my friend and I (another mbworld member who will chime in I'm sure) went to a popular Friday night meet on Long Island where mostly muscle cars gather. We were there for awhile, then headed back to my house on a fairly busy 3 lane road. Close to my house we see a Bentley Continental GTC a few cars ahead of us...black on black with dark windows, and we were watching him floor it off the line from two lights. Up ahead we saw him in a turn lane to a pretty empty two lane road, so my friend said turn here see what your car's got against the Bentley. So I agreed, and we went in the turn lane. I saw the guy look over at us when we pulled next to him, and we figured he would take off as he had been doing at the previous lights. When the light turned green we paced him around the turn I shifted quickly to second and waited for him to floor the car. Well, sure enough he floored it almost instantly as his car turned, as did I at the same time...he had to get over to our lane, it went from a quick 3 lane road to a 2 lane merge, I was pulling on him slowly thoughout my whole second gear and I had to let off and brake actually for him to get in. After that he took off I was waiting for him to slow down again, to see if I could get a friendly pull, but he didn't slow down one bit...maybe he was embarrassed...needless to say I was proud of my S4.

I don't think he was embarassed, judging from my own experience. Not many people use online forums about their cars or other street forums. So they don't understand the concept of three honk go or slowing down to start up a race. I spotted a clean C55 a few months back, I got next to the guy, rolled down my window, he noticed me and did the same. We talked around and complemented each other's cars. Then i asked him for a run, he replied "Aren't they the same thing?" lol. I said "no, yours should be a little faster, run me". He nodded. We get on the highway, line up, I get ready to downshift and he just takes off lol. I chased him and caught up eventually but he kept going lol.
On another occasion I spotted an E92 335 and the guy just kept flooring it too even when I tried to line up with him.
They probably thought that's how it is. Oh well.
Nice story!

Try closer to 300-310. This car is running on the same tune Tommy's car was running. As a stage 1 car his car killed one of the quickest stage 2+ cars around. It is a significantly stronger tune anything else on the market.

Jon, I guess you missed him ignoring you the first time.
I'll tell you the end result now: Your car is slower than his. You WILL loose.
Put down 100 dollars and ill run you in his car. I have no qualms risking my license.

I'm just curious how fast his car is. But I don't think its faster then Wills srt-8 which traps 115mph. The most he got me was a couple cars way up top. I pretty much kept up. Just ask Tom he was there

A "couple of car lengths" makes the difference in many tenths on a Et.
I'll race the car. Just its not a free race Jon, you got to pay to play. .

We're not talking about Will's car now are we? We're talking about your CLK55. If Will is trapping 115 then hes in the 12.2-12.4 range (Prolly WITH drags). Otherwise I call bs. Jared's car won't have as high of a trap, but I'm sure it can hit 108-110 or so at around 12.4 - 12.6. I was practicing launching his car last night, car pulls HARD off the line, definitely a 1.8-1.7 60'.

Sorry to say but Will showed me a time slip where he got a 2.0 60ft stock tires. Ran 12.5@113+. Hmm with drags probably into the 11s. From a dig I don't have a chance with his awd but from a roll it would be close. Besides its not your car. So Jared could answer to that.
Where did you pull the 115mph trap figure out of. (Prolly your a$s as most things) Quit talking about other peoples car, I'm sure Will can speak on his car's behalf.
If you're so sure that it would be close then race. But again $$$ upfront. You sure talk a lot Jon you just don't put your mouth where your money is.
On this exact same file, same ecu, in another stage 2 car, with pretty much the same mods, we destroyed a CL55 Kompressor. Your car does not hold a candle to Jared's car. Get over it. This same car WALKED a stage 2 car that ran consistent 12.5's (And at that time the car was a stage 1!!!!). Face facts Jon, quit bench racing. You'd have a glimmer of hope if his car was running a standard tune with no other mods. Unfortunately for you that is not the case.

Actually he requested that I serve you. No its not my car, but I do work on it a lot, runs our tune and Jared trusts me to race you with his car.
