I appreciate cars for what they are. A s2000 is a light weight roadster with excellent handling. A Mustang gt500 is designed to be fast on the straights.
Fast is a relative term...are you talking about fast on a quarter mile or fast around a track?
stock for stock a s2000 would be fast around a track and gto would be faster on the quarter.
You say i'm a ricer because i like s2000? Does this mean your a redneck because you like a GTO that is the result of GM rebadging?

Actually i'm a fan of all cars. I like s2k's, sti's, 335i, 911 turbo, corvette z06, nissan gtr.

Stock for stock the S2000 is SLOWER than a GTO around a track, hence it's DEMOTION to T3, from T2. We're talking tracks, not parking lots, right?
No, you just like ricer cars, I just appreciate GTOs.

if its a car you owned, why not? I would be more impressed with the 94 supra TT then the gto. Unless you also owned a real gto...like a '69 or something.

Nice kill, nevertheless, s2000 are great cars period! I own 1 i know If the s2k has i/h/e with final drive from 4.4 to 4.5&4.7 its game over for our STOCK C32 on the street. S2 with a turbo or SC it will walk o over our 4 dr auto saloon.
I raced a FORD lighting with near 500+ hp with my s2k with only Bolt ons, from a dead stop dig, i was able to pull 2 & half cars length.... till we got on the freeway it was a bit diff the V8 SC started to walk hard

I'm with you on the bolt ons conclusion but your wrong on the FI issue. Turbo'ed s2000's are putting down at least 400-460whp.
The lightning may have a lot of tq but it also weighs 4600lbs and has less agressive gearing.
The s2000 weighs 2800lbs rwd and has more aggressive gearing.
Here's a clip of a 460whp beating a 501whp z06 on the first run and keeping up with it on the second run.
If it can keep up with a z06, its more then enough to kill a 4600 lb truck.

The S2K is a great car. The power is biased toward the upper end of the rev range but even so, it is so light that it pulls great down low and makes a super jekyl-hyde car. It is geared sorta tall and is not easy to launch from a dig but is not slow. On a real road course, the S2K can hang with many other more powerful cars. They will take loads of abuse and still keep in ticking. True that stock for stock in a drag race the C32 will beat it and would likely beat most modded S2K's. If you go putting a turbo on it or a SC well then lots of fast cars are in jepardy. I saw a SC'ed Mazda Miata win overall in a local Auto-x last year beating among others M3's, Boxter-S, a supercharged 600+hp C5 Z06 vette, a 911, Lotus Elise and a pair of very fast formula ford cars along with a host of lesser autos. The Miata had 220 hp but weighs nothing. Owner said that he had a Z06 and the Miata was faster and was 0-60 in about 4.5 sec. The S2000 is the high horse version of the Miata. Add a turbo or SC and it is a beast.
Even stock for stock the S2000 would hang with the C32 on a road course. S2000 has the best tranny of any car I have driven. Missing shifts should never happen. It is the only Honda that I would like to own. I wish they made a fastback coupe version like the BMW Z4M Coupe.

Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and call bull**** on this one. I've owned several s2k's and a c32 and an e55 now. I've had the mods you listed above and even more (one turbo'd). None of them would hang w/a c32, and don't even talk about a lightening since most of those are modded anyway. My RSX-S w/I/H/E and hondata 4 was faster then the full bolt on s2k.
People can't drive for SHI* likes to run their mouth all the time. Learn to drive.
