Killed "SL600 AMG" Poser with 8-exhaust Pipes!
We get to the tollbooth where I get myself stuck in traffic just so I can line up with him. After the toll, we both roll alongside. He looked over and must have seen me laughing. Well, he took off and switched into the leftlane. I tapped the paddle and brought her down into 3rd gear and by the time I hit 4th he had already become a fading object in my rearview. I slowed down again to let him catch up and he tried again. The car was SLOW. Without a doubt, it was a 500.
He took the GW Bridge exit as I continued down the highway laughing my *** off.
I tried to take some pics during the race. It is very hard to see his extra exhaust pipes, but if you look closely behind his front wheel, under the side gill, you'll see the little cannons. (BTW, I was able to see that they were just bolted on. No exhaust work done what-so-ever, strictly cosmetic pipes)
Bobby thank you for killing the poser ....maybe if enough people constantly show him what a poser he is...he might take off the garbage and be proud of the car he owns.... not the fantasy he wants to portray.
Tom
And thanks everyone! I just wish I could have asked him a question or two "So, when did the oct-pipe exhaust become standard on V12 AMG's?...wait don't tell me...custom built in Germany
"

I have never seen so many "S65"s like there.
All had side badges,trunk badges,
...... and no visible exhaust pipes?!

An SL500 is a great car. Debadge it entirely, adorn it with some classy wheels and other tidbits, then sit back and enjoy the compliments.

you could def tell by looking if his Suposed SL600 had the big AMG calipers they come standard on the SL600 but say Mercedes instead of amg, but they are indeed the big boys! I'm due to race Alex he just got an M6, will report back after...

I can GUARANTEE it was not a 600 lol...
Run strong! Can't be losing to any M6's!
Are you still stock? Or have you updated the ECU?
I can't believe you're running those fantastic times w/heavy stockers
get a rear set of cheapo 17-18" Koesi's @ Tirerack.com I believe they weigh under 19lbs ea. I'll bet you knock a tenth or 2 off your times, everyone in the know say a good set of light wheels is worth 25-30rwhp
Edit:I'm dying to get ECU/TCU I really want to see what LET or VRP comes out w/since there pending results in the coming wks & having great success w/55k 65amg models
