Killed a CLK320 Cabrio with my wife's Camry Hybrid

Sorry to post a MBZ kill here, but this one was funny. Running around a couple of days ago in my wife's 2007 Camry Hybrid. Ran into a situation where I had to get over to the right to get on the freeway. . . there was a rather cheesy looking guy in a black CLK320 Cabrio to my right and slightly behind me. I turn on my right signal, and accelerate slightly. Like a ***hole he speeds up and will not let me over. I accelerate progressively harder, and so does he. I finally punch it, and so does he. I am able to slowly pull in front of him, which seems to really **** him off, as he starts tailgating me on the freeway. We go again from about 70-100 and, again, I slowly pull him. I then slow down to let him pass so I can give him the "smirk of shame." He tried to avoid looking at me, but he just could not resist confirming the "Hybrid" badge on the side of the Camry. The look on his face was priceless.

No doubt, the Cabrio is a much cooler car. I really like the look of it much more than the CLK coupe. And, yes, I should be ashamed for driving my wife's (Barcelona red---ultimate estrogen color) Camry Hybrid!

Surprisingly, the mag specs (0-60, etc.) for the Camry Hybrid and the CLK320Cabrio are very close. Please confirm this before you call B.S. or flame me.

Who says you can't have fun in a hybrid?

I believe it....CLK320 wasn't exactly a performance oriented car, at least by today's standards. Many of the newer Japanese sedans are deceptively quick even in standard form.

He probably felt a Camry was no match for his Benz and was pissed. Clk320s are slugs.

Not kidding. Never paid much attention to the CLKs. Have admired a couple of CLK55 converts that I have seen, but just never spent the time to know the diff between the two models. Was there a performance diff between the older and newer CLK320 Cabrios?

CLK 320 is more a hop in with your friends and all go somewhere. Not a race car but its peppy enough. Now the CLK55. Well lets just say Im nothing going to even talk about that.

clk 320 had a few things against it.

Hybrids, no matter how much you hate them can unleash a good amount of torque so when it comes to laying down power at highway speeds those electric motors can give a decent kick.

the clk cabrio is one heavy mother. it shares alot of stuff with the w210 E which was quite heavy and cabrios are much heavier due to stabilization requirements

lastly you said the guy looked kinda cheesy, im gonna assume here he doesnt service his benz like he should so he prolly lost some hp due to his cheesieness :p
