Whenever I see someone driving a Boxster or a Cayman I just think "this guy had obvious plans for his life, his hope was to one day drive either a Carrera or a Turbo, and things obviously havent gone his way."

They're not bad cars though, at all. I've heard this "poor man's Porsche" cliche so many times that it actually annoys me. Believe me, the "Benz" stereotypes are worse, and we have many more poseurs than Porsche has.

I know you're just kidding around, but some people actually assume this of people they see driving a Boxster/Cayman. Nothing about how they are driving or whether or not they look obnoxious...just the car they are in, which is a solid performer, not a riced-out beater.

I'm happy you know it was a joke. Lol.

But in all honesty, the Cayman S is a good car, even when compared to a 911. But at the same time, there is no substitute for a 911. None.

It's English slang, often used to exaggerate a win. "Dusting" is another one.

"Dude, I smoked that that thing!!"
