W209 CLK55 vs 997 Turbo

Did not get my facts on the 997 Turbo before i asked my friend for a test run. I was raped and whipped by this beast. The car just pulls away from me as though i'm on standstill, damn! With 0-60mph in just 3.4 sec, i'm speechless

No, 997 tip is quicker than the stick version, at least that's what the 0-xxx figures say. Opposite was true for the 996.

Correct- the Tip holds the boost thru the gears better than the manny... over 100-110 mph the manual starts to catch up due to gearing and less parasitic loss (no slush box). The AWD robs the car of efficient HP and adding in the auto hurts it even more up top. Most mags (if you want reference) will have the tip scooting to 60 and the quarter faster than the manny.

I have a tip and the thing is explosive from a dig (modded to about 600 hp). But I to say that my stock GT-R is crazy from a dig too. Once its modded its gonna be over IMHO---at least up to 140 mph
