Friday night I got away from work early enough to hit up the local 1/4 miles track. It's not the greatest, but it beats nothing. So anyway, the CL600 is completely stock (minus window tint) and the best time of the night was 12.87 @ 107 mph. I was really having issues with the launch...because I am on true street tires, and the track prep isn't so great, anything over 1900 rpm at the launch and I was up in smoke.

Got a video too, my camera man didn't do a great job, but enjoy it anyway! It's me in the near lane vs a CTS-V in the far lane. It's kinda funny, a CTS-V was the main car I was looking at before I wound up with the Benz, so I'm glad I got to run one! I did notice later that this V has what sounds like a rod knock...so I'd still like to run against a healthy one.

107 trap seems unbelievably low for that car. You might have some serious issues with cooling pumps.

And the best method is feathering off the line from what I have read...not raising RPMs prior to loss.

Yes, I agree with the low MPH. I am about 7-10 mph from what stock should be and will be looking into the intercooler pump. As the car made consecutive passes the MPH actually slowed to 103.

Can anyone tell me where the IC pump is located on the CL600? I know on some cars it is behind the fog light, is it in the same place for the CL?
