ML55 vs Chevy Chevelle SS 427

This actually gave me quite a good laugh. Today was a really nice day in ''isla larga'', a ton of classic muscle roaming the streets.

I was driving back from the shop when I spot a really nice and clean Chevrolet Chevelle SS 427. (Had the 427 badge, much like this one)

We happened to line up at a light, he takes off briskly, so do I. Suddenly he floors it, I placed it right into kick down and matched him. We were neck and neck until about 70, then his uber displacement shat on the ML, by 90 he was a good 2 lengths ahead at which point he shut down. When he let off I got a nice plume of black smoke on the overrun in my face.

I rolled up next to the guy to only see him with a **** faced grin. Gave each other thumbs up and parted different routes.

I hope I run into him while in the A4...

It was black. Guy looked to be in his early 50s.

a toy
They were never made with a 427 IIRC. It's either rebadged or an engine swap.

You may have lost, but the difference is that you can go jump in your car right now and go grab a beer. He, on the other hand, will be wrenching on his muslce car for a week before it is ready to go again.

Of course, I'm basing this on my neighbors Monte Carlo that he swears is fast. I hear him tear out of the driveway on occasion and then see it in his driveway with the hood up for the next 4 days. I could set my watch to it........
