My E55 vs Black SL55

My E55 vs Black SL55

Was driving down Calvine Road yesterday in elk grove/south sacramento, CA and saw a sl55 stopped at the lights. Got next to him and gave him a friendly nod and he stepped on the gas so I could hear his exhaust. Light turns green and he weave out in front of a couple cars so I follow. I was about 2 car lengths behind him and then he guns it, and I respond and floor mine also. I gain on him and pass him up by atleast a car length and then he shuts down. I didn't know we were that much faster than sl55's?

Nice kill.

I believe the SL55's are about 200 pounds heavier than we are.

SL600

I would tend to think his IC pump failed, and/or he had his top down. My brother had an E55 when I had my SL55, and we raced back to back and there was never that big of a difference. Regardless, nice victory.

Also, on the dyno what were the variances or was the 469hp vs. 492??hp ratings bunk?

BS. They dyno right around the same. Same thing with the 600 series cars. They dyno way higher than the 55's do.

Morristown NJ ? My wife used to live in rockaway and morristown is not far off. Maybe one day if your not busy we can meet up

lol. I'm stock but would love to see the SL600 in action vs my E55. Your 04 SL600 has the v12 5.5 and weighs about 500 lbs more then my car. I don't think you can beat my healthy running E55 by much lol. Just my OP.
