Modded SLK32 vs e92 M3 DCT

In Mexico, went up against a new DCT M3. It was a stock hard top convertible. After driving his car, we lined up twice both 40 rolls with the same result. I walked him pretty hard up to ~110. He was in M mode and automatic.

On a side note, just saw my neighbor's SL65 BS go by.. First one that I have seen in person and absolutely stunning. Especially in the darker graphite color that his was ordered in.

Turk, I would say 3.5 CL's.. PS is just phenolic spacers. The catch can definitely does its job. Drained alot of dirty oil from it last oil change, oil that would have otherwise been sucked into my clean ported and polished manifolds

M3 Kill

Nice kill mate!

Looks like I'll be up in Columbus next week on Thursday to fly to bee-u-tee-full New Jersey, lol. It's nice to see some 32's putting the beemers in their place.

I worked on and drove both the manual and DCT auto E92 M3's and couldn't have been more disappointed with the "power".....................BUT they do take the twisties quite well(which is what they were intended for).

can you explain to me the function of it exactly? i know it helps get out the oil in the manifold area and i/c area apparently, but i havent cleaned my manifolds (and the ported/polished ones don't fit on the C32), will i see a benefit with this? how often do i need to check it or empty it?

Yeah the C32 is not that common but then no AMG is. I was actually looking for an SLK32 when I found the C-klasse. I was up at Easton one Saturday night not too long ago, on Euro car night and saw loads of dope rides but only one C32. Mine is hard to miss, as it is in the Magma Red. Its a work in progress and with the mods you list, I am guessing that you are still at least a few ponies ahead of me on HP but since the C-klasse is lighter that might make up for a little, I dunno, it should be at least close. I am always game for some fun. I'm active in SCCA and plan to be at the track day sponsored by the Cincy S2000 owners Sept 5th at the new Bluegrass Motorsports road course. It has a 3/4 mi front straight. I had not planned on bringing the 32 bu that can be changed. I am sure we could get them to let us line em up, lol. Or pm me and we can meet in Mexico, lol.

Seriously, I get to actually meet so few AMG owners who will get out an play, it would be fun to meet up and say hi sometime. I used to live in Dublin and come to Columbus on biz all the time. I don't get back from Joisseey until about midnight on Friday night (next week not this one). Got any friends at the airport? We could arrange to borrow an unused runway... In the mean time, have you ever timed the SLK32 in the 1/4? That would at least give us a benchmark. The loser buys the beer OK? Barleys on High St.

The catch can is a spot for the oil vapor off the valve covers to collect-the idea being remove the oil from the air-that lowers the octane rating-
the idea is that you take the rubber tubes that from from the crankcase beathers-run them into a catch can (various versions of what this is-check out perrin.com to see a nice one altho somewhat spendy will work) and then continue on to the intake (the air has already passed the MAF and we want a happy MAF, dont we all?)-
turbo and SC guys usually run them (boost pushes more by then NA cars)-but there is a slight advantage on any engine to running one (I havent gotten around to it...yet....)
depending on the size of the can (some are large-some quite small)-empty at oil changes (various models have drain plugs, caps, screws on the bottom, ect-some you need to remove the whole can )-
good kill!
