E55 AMg vs e46 M3
I was driving home and 10 mins before I dropped off my cousin I was telling him how when I see a performance car I try to provoke a run but no 1 ever trys to provoke me the way I try to do to others.
Well of course I'm crusing at maybe 40-50mph and I see in my mirror a e46 M3 with some tint mods and stuff an exhaust or whatever. He was coming at a higher rate of speed then me and stops right next to me
. I hit the throttle aggresively to let him know I'm game and he gets side by side again and I look over and he has the enthusiast smile on.
Well he hits it full throttle and so do I right after and easily and quickly gained and left him 2-3 cars behind me before I shutdown. He came back side by side we gave each other the thumbs up and went our seperate ways lol. Nothing like a friendly run. BE SAFE guys.

Nice run, I owned both cars in the past. The M3 E46 is a beautiful car IMHO to this day but it has nothing on the W211 in regards to racing- unless its got a turbo or SC under the hood.

ahaha yeah thats for sure but it's always fun to bump into a enthusiast make a quick run and give each other the thumbs up lol. If I saw a Lambo Murcialego I would still try to race him even knowing the outcome lol.

I think those drivers are moving onto another car...haven't seen many ready to race M3 drivers recently.
I spotted a black one a few days back, got him at a red light, thinking awesome. Turned out to be a very scrawny asian guy, dressed blandly, who wouldn't even look over. I chirped the tires a bit and sped off, he slowly wound his way in. Bummer.

I really like the E46 M3's with the big brake option. But pitting one against an E55 kompressor is just suicide. I understand you experience driving the E55 and not getting challenged often. I have the C32 and before that the C36 and I was almost never chellenged in them. Yet, I also have a much racier looking but slower MR2 turbo and I can hardly ever get out in it without somebody attempting to race, lol. I guess they look at the AMG sedan and assume that it is slow (or they look at the /////AMG badge and know better??). Do the SL32/55/65 owners have this issue also? They at least look more sporty.

^ +100000! I bought my RS6 back in November and have had very few people challenge me (and mine's bright yellow, so it's no sleeper). But almost every time I've test-driven an EVO or STi, I've had someone rev their engine at me/wanna play. It's annoying, where are these fools when I'm in my RS6??? Or test-driving an E55
