1.5 sec's is a bunch of car lengths.
Dont get me wrong the Z06's are no slouch but not liter bike material stock.

These are the numbers I could find which shows the CBR is faster from a stop. So I am assuming the C6Z is quicker if the race is from 100-150 MPH from the vid. I understand it gets worse for a bike as the speeds increase so if the Z is quicker from the 100 + MPH roll the only way the bike could post better times from 0-150 is it makes it up say up to 100 MPH?
0-150 for CBR 100RR is 15.41
0-150 for a C6Z is 17.5
1/4 mile For the CBR is 138.6 MPH 9.88 Secs
1/4 mile for the C6Z is 127.1 @ 11.1
I would have never guessed a stock C6Z would pull a bike even from 120-150 MPH. Looks like the CBR 1K pulled from say 90 to maybe 120 then the Z passed. Again I would have never guessed that from 120-150 the Vette would pull the 1k. Nice job

Sure from 0 even a C6Z06 is at a disadvantage, but I didn't race him in a C5Z06, and we didn't go from 0mph. Completely different circumstances.

Sure from 0 even a C6Z06 is at a disadvantage, but I didn't race him in a C5Z06, and we didn't go from 0mph. Completely different circumstances.

Looks like both bikes performed identically - what was the starting speed of the 600? The 1000 seemed pretty quiet. Yet was the 600 passed at 125? and the 1000 at over 150mph?
Wasn't it 150mph for the 1000? And there is no telemetry on either bike to show what rpm the shifts occurred although the 600 sounded pretty good.
I think the guy on the 1000 was not ridding it to it's fullest. If he was he should of held off the vette and been ahead till the 165 range and then the vette would take over. But with street races anything can happen.
I will see if I can get a C6Z06 to bit in the coming weeks from a high speed roll. I raced one on my 08 CBR 1k from a stop a couple weeks ago getting onto the highway and when I looked down at 140 I was many bikes lengths ahead.
If a newer 1k is ridden properly it should be able to hold off a stock C6Z from 80-to 165. Then things get much better for the vette like we see in the vid.
I am in the process of picking up a C5 Z that I will S/C so watching the C5 and C6 Z's they are no joke cars. the C6Z is amazing from vid's I have watched

As of now it just has intake and exhaust. The seller says he thinks it should be around 450 HP intake/exhaust as the 405 HP was underrated. I know exhaust and intake give some power but hard to believe it gives 30-40 HP. Maybe the vette engines are different than MB and BMW's. I did intake and exhaust on my E39 M5 and ya I noticed a difference but it was not 20 + HP difference.

Think there is any damage with no tune and the intake? I would assume it would be fine just not run as quick as it should.
