X5 is a joke...to my CLK320
OK, I beat this Bimmer with a trick.
I was on west bound fwy 210 one evening, about a week ago. With my wife in the car, I was going at legal speed(80mph!) on the fast lane. The traffic was light and there was no cars nearby in front and behind. All of the sudden, an X5 pops out from nowhere and started tailgating ****. This idiot followed wherever I went as I tried to let it go by. I figured he wanted to tailgate regardless of the traffic condition. I noticed there were heavier traffic ahead...I hit the gas and up close to 110mph...he speeded up...hehe...right before I hit the traffic ahead, i switched to carpool lane. And this jerk could only watch me disappeared in front of him as the carpool lane was wide open.
I hate tailgating and this is only one of many experiences I had with my Merc.

Not that I beat the X5 hands down...that would be another matter. But with the traffic as part of the element, certainly anything is possible.
I just happened to meet a black CLK 55 Cabrio yesterday on the same fwy. It's brand new...as I was traveling at 100mph...this dude caught my by surprise as he pulled along side, and shortly, exited the fwy. All this happened whilst i was racing a E36 325i.

it was a 3.0 X5.... a X5 4.4 or 4.6 is... would smoke your 320... i have a w202 C230K.. added a pulley and exhaust.. i can take your 320 if its stock.. you will lose to a V8 on the freeway.. i know..

for speed... thats what my S54 BMW M Roadster is for... my benz is just my beater.. its about 2 years old and has like 50K miles on it... it doesnt even get to park in the garage.. and i sometimes drive my parents w208 CLK55, and w209 CLK500.. i have driven a CLK320 and its so sluggish.. way too underpowered.. btw.. the BMW has the fastest 0-60 and 1/4 mile times than the other cars i mentioned..

is an X5 really considered a SUV? it shares the same platform as a 5 series.. handles and brakes like BMW, far superior to a normal car.. and is faster than alot of cars on the road.. i have seen X5's on the track.. yes.. u can track these SUV's.. the X5 has one of the best times around the Nur' Ring.. Lemans X5 that is..

like new Honda Accord Coupe. I am sure you won't be so proud of your car after that.
