C55 vs S5
He is lucky his car has AWD because if I had tried some of those maneuvers in my car I would have probably ended up pointed the wrong way. Apparently the guy perked up when I roared by him earlier and wanted to show off that he has a V8 as well. Once he caught up we were still in traffic so I just let him lead the way and tried to hang back a little as he was being a little too aggressive for my liking.
Once we hit a nice clear spot it was on. we both slowed to 55-60 and had a go at it. I manually selected 3rd, he honks it off and we are rolling. I pulled a full car length by 120 where we shut it down. We did this two more times with the same outcome each time.
In the end the guy was not a sore loser and gave a thumbs up which I returned. I am very impressed at how well his and my car ran. Plus its always nice to get a friendly/close race with another German V8 randomly out on the HWY.
My mods: Eurocharged tune, minor exhaust work(no aftermarket headers), k&ns.
PS: All the events stated above happened on the drug cartel controlled highways of good ol mexico

I dont know if he had any mods or not. I had extra weight in the car with my sub box in the trunk so that might be part of the reason. Also your CLK550 has a totally diff motor with an extra valve per cylinder,DOHC(20 more hp from the factory) and a different tranny than the c55. So I think this sounds about right.

Apparently the V-8s are rather corked up from the factory?

I try and make it out to that meet each month. I'm pretty sure I saw your E55 at the February gtg if its the one from your sig. You were parked on the end of a row near the street IIRC.
