C63 VS 5.0 MUSTANG 010
Im a mercedes benz fan and hate most american cars,Buttttt
I pulled the triger on a 2011 mustang 5.0 fully loaded 39k.
And i must say wow for the price and it beeing a new car
its truly a beast! 0-60mph is okay id say high 4s but 40-120mph this car
screams!!
So anywayz i ran a C63 in mexico bone stock, we ran from 30-100
And i must say i was suprised it was dead even!
We ran it again this time from 40mph because its a better starting gear for the c63, This time it was much more interesting he edged me out by 1.5-2
by 100mph.
OVerall my mustang does well against the high performance sedan i plan on keeping it stock untill summer!

Could've been a Boss 302 w/ 444hp?
NO its my car bone stock 6 speed 415hp but it puts out around 355whp
and it weighs less then the c63 so down low defintaly close

I believe it,'11 GT has a much better rear axle ratio than C63&that helps more than you would think.
Cant beat the bang for the buck from the new Coyote engine,not to mention you can slap a small S/C w 6psi and make 600+hp no problems

The new 5.0 is the real deal. I shared the track with one and he passed a GTR on the straight. Driver talent aside, the car can hold it's own against the majority of cars on the road.

Stock 5.0 traps 110 or so with the 3.73 axle. Stock C63 traps 114+ So that 40-100 which is a short run he got you by 2 cars which is alot. From 30 roll the c63 prob was in the wrong gear
Im sure your right but trap speed dont mean everything!
GTR only traps 118-120mph but kicks the **** out of most cars that trap higher untill 120mph or soo.

Great car OP but $39k ?!? Is that out the door?
355rwhp -I heard they were a tad higher.
Overall gearing is what matters, the final drive is only part of it. A comparison of the two would be interesting.

The new mustangs are beastly. I have major respect for them. great engine, good transmission, looks good too. Now if only they weren't cheap and gave it an IRS. Sure solid axles are better for drag, but an option for IRS like on the old cobras would be nice. Nice kill man, it seems every day I hear about something new about an impressive feat the 5.0 has done. What color is it? I'm partial to grabber blue.

^ I dunno it about as quick on the track as an M3 and the C class competes with the 3 series. The biggest downside to our benz's is the weight. Our cars are pretty heavy and have always been.

They are a tad higher. The one I ran with (2011 track package) dyno'd at 380 RWHP. I don't think the car can compete with the GTR or C63 AMG but it's a such a huge improvement over prior Mustangs that I give Ford a standing ovation
I dont think its 380rwhp but its very fast on the streets and the highway.
My friends SRT8 challenger Auto has intake and tune and after 3rd gear it cant even keep up.
